Yeah seams to be the way when you make a team and lock in the must haves, you get left with a few choices for 'flavour' and this is what is spits out.
Probably why alot of us like that and why I posted something similar too

Though nothing wrong with it, Sivo starting over Bmoz would be my main change to start 2019 but should be a fun ride

While for a league team a good fullback he just won't get those fantasy scores. He doesn't have a big frame and I can't see him breaking tackles. I'm avoiding him at the moment

i'm doing whatever i can to avoid playing him in my 17 because i have a lot of the same doubts, but as far as the 18-21 goes, it's really hard to ignore a near base price goal-kicking fullback.

The second thing is when do you bring him in? There will always be other fires to put out and you look at the next week.......Then he bangs out an 80......

Yes you are paying a premium but he is a finished product, in the best team and will be consistent in an inconsistent position banging out a mid 55 avg

Now how do i fit him in haha

Its all comparative though. Happy to have guys at 5-600k less banging out 30-35 averages and being able to afford Fifita who at least matches Teddy.

Tedesco and Host for me haha

Tedesco because of below, Host or any sub 350k player will be the other

That is the conclusion I think I have finally made and allow me to sleep well, I can live without Edwards but not Tedesco

Likely to be an article or 2 coming up you would imagine. He is the kind of player that I am willing to take a risk on. If he pays off, great, if not can exchange him for another player showing more promise. If he can hold down starting prop he has significant upside. Only 2 props on the bench and one is playing his first game in first grade. Matulino only averages 43 minutes. He has a chance to cement a role with up to 45-50 minutes.

Is Twal a better option than Gillett? At the moment his DPP is swaying me.

Just checked the clock and it's time for the stupidest question of the night.

On Thursday night, as game one is in it's midst, is your team locked in as it is, or can you still make unlimited changes (obviously, except for Bronco/Storm players)? Can you keep making unlimited changes all weekend, providing the players you want to switch have not played yet?

For the record, this isn't what I wish to do... but I'm just curious.

Fucking hell, how has Tohu Harris just found his way into my team? I quite like it though.

I have both, doubt DPP makes much difference in most teams where one of the positions is 2RF, as most teams are stacked with 5,6 or even 7+ of them.

Maybe not this round but the chooks play Manly second up Boozecluez and going by Manly's backline it will be a Roosters carve up.
Tedesco, Keary ( who loves stitching it to Crowe ) and Radley in my team. Teddy not leaving it unless injured.

More the FRF I'm interested in - with Gillett I'm running with no FRF cover

    Edit: got 8 2rfs

Gents, long time reader and fantasy player (2012 or 2013 was my OG), first time poster here. Keen to get your thoughts on my money spread across positions. Wary of a lack of decent 3rd FRF, but with the value in 2rf it's hard to justify most of them. Blake Lawrie's PPM is encouraging and feel he'll get solid minutes to make good coin:

    Hooker: MCC
    FRF: Fifita, Tolman
    2RF: Arrow, Murray, Matterson
    Half: Morgan, Keighran
    Centre: Capewell, Bird
    WFB: Edwards, CNK, Kahu

    Int: Lane, Gillett, Mahoney, Lawrie

    Reserves: Nikora, Brown, Sele, Ravalawa.

I feel it looks quite strong across the board, obviously a little soft in the halves but i'm okay with that to begin.

22k in bank. Keen to hear thoughts!

Got to understand you are picking Guns for their long term consistency in high scoring, at seasons start anyone can bang out a shit hot 3 game average and look the bollocks.

the debate about Teddy and Fifita is prime example, might both start slow, might start fast but seasonal they are both going around their price and average

Invest the coin now or later? spin the wheel, flip a coin!

Key to a fast start is getting main cows, playing the right ones in scoring 17 and picking the fast starting guns/mid rangers

then look at poor starts from the top tier guys and flip your money makers into them

Ditto "oh God why didn't I just pick him please stop scoring" would this year read:

    1) Teddy
    2) Cook
    3) Fifita
    4) SJ
    5) Mitchell

Starting with the first three, other two are early targets (hopefully after quiet games). Wife's team has all of them but suffers elsewhere.

Cheers for that, yeah did consider the draw and did play a small part in my decision.
Looking over last years scores, can't avoid that he scored over 60pts every 3rd game including a monster 106pts
    That's alot of tears haha
Yes it's the average but those big scores produce alot of salt

Thinking about who's going to be highest scorers in each position over season.

Prediction - Cook, Fifita, JTrbo, DCE, Mitchell, Ted.

Interesting that there's one player there who most are starting with, two that people are trying to fit in, and three that aren't appearing in any teams at all.

Can Taupau really sustain a 57 average playing 50 minutes again this year?

Seems like a fucking mammoth task and likely outlier
