I haven’t considered Radley once this year, but could bring him instead, with $0 to spare. Otherwise, I don’t mind S.Mata’Utia, Glasby or Niukore.

Or do I just stick with Mahoney?

I’m curious why Glasby doesn’t seem to be popping up in anyone’s team. What are the reasons people are steering clear?

And a couple of days ago there was keen interest in Niukore but he doesn’t seem to be making the cut for anyone. Why is this, may I ask?

    Thanks advance for any feedback.

I’ve had Glasby in a few variations, and am still pretty keen. The choice for me came down to between Glasby, Afoa, Napa, Paulo and Hetherington.

Glasby has job security, a leading role, and is the most expensive of the bunch. To make 150k he’ll need to be plugging in a solid 60 minutes week-in, week-out (going from last year’s scores). If he does it it’ll be only just, and that makes for a slow burn.
Napa is too risky - don’t know where his head’s at and as Milchy noted after he shoulder-charge ban the guts fell out of his scoring.
Paulo has an injury cloud - otherwise I’d be keen.
Hetherington has a run until Kilauea returns, which could be soon. And he loves a stupid penalty.
So... Bunty? Great hair. Aggressive player. Picked to start over LAM.

    YMMV Cheers

If Jake Friend is injured (Short and Longterm), who goes to Hooker?

I thought someone pointed out that Lane was spending time in the middle of the field last year (when starting 2nd row), hence his high tackle counts. I can't actually remember.

He's a good fantasy scorer regardless, has a knack for a try, but I'm passing on him.

Croft is out of my team again. If you had 676K to spend on any player who would it be and why?

Hi all, looking for some advice to finalise my team.

    Tolman + Radley/Twal
    OR
Taupau + ravlava(emg) with Burr coming into the bench

    Cheers

Think I'm gonna take a punt on Roache in my 18-21 and hope Luke stays injured for more than one week. Should be a straight switch to firing cow if he's back, lol

    For Peats minutes.

One possibility is Tyrone Roberts to hooker when Brimson comes on. But if Peats doesn't play 80 it will be close to it

Loved to have Lane, but just can't justify fitting him in my team.

    He's the 22nd man

Macca has left my team. Replaced by Friend with Radley as handcuff bench hooker with the upside that he will actually be playing at the same time

Burr might be a one hit wonder with iPap coming back next week.
So I would go option A for better depth

    Macca or Kapow for Captain?

As Welshy suggested in the PODcast (great stuff btw) An 80 minute guy could be better in the opening rounds while the big boys get up to speed. But looking at that Manly side, how does Kapow not get 60 minutes? My other concern with Macca is the Storm spreading it from side to side.

    Thoughts?

I'm going really cold on Macca.  Thinking Friend instead.  I remember last year he didn't play 80 that much due to a sternum injury.

Re Macca & the idea that the Storm spread the ball alot so he won't score as well didn't someone in a previous thread post some stats that debunked the hookers not scoring as well versus the Storm theory.

My personal opinion is they will both score the same so it doesn't matter.
