So which players tonight should we be panic trading in/out?


I have
Fifita, Capewell, Nikora, Friend, Murray and Burns in action.

Players I don't have that I have seriously considered during pre-season
Cook, Teddy, Watson, Surgess, Radley, BMoz

I suspect you’re right - I’m drinking yet another godforsaken airport lounge, and probably let my emotions (and negative past experiences of some other forum posters) get ahead of proper conversation.

But I’m still unhappy with how we handled this.

Watson and Radley are the only two I'm worried about not having. We know exactly what everyone else is capable of. There's gonna be some non Cook owners suffering in a few hours.

Sometimes distractions are needed... It does interrupt the flow of the chat and it's hard to get out of your mind when you live here and have friends and family nearby. But appreciate the separate thread thanks

Anyway.. Definitely regretting my 'value pick' strategy after skipping on Gillett for Radley lol dammit.. Now I'm low-key considering dropping Radley to a basement to bring Fifita in to salvage my shocking Macca pick

I had Bird at #18. Ive been toying the idea of playing a DNP in my interchange to loop him back in.

Pros:
I get the 50 points
I don't burn a trade
Trade in a player like Stimson/Lomax who might play round 2

Cons:
Waste a spot where a cashcow could of been generating money for me
The player i trade in might not play next week

Thoughts?

got tedesco locked in just for peace of mind. absolute nightmare to watch when he's not in your team.

I have faith in all my picks. Missing out on Bird's points is going to be disappointing but if all my forward reserves do their jobs then that should only be a loss of like 16-20 points. It happens.

Now whether I should pick Kahu or Burns that's a dilemma. Play it safe with a popular pick or grab a POD that could give me an edge.

If it were me, I'd strongly consider putting Salmon at 17. Base price and the mail is he will slot into the centres next week.Still risky but could be a good shout.

It's a long season, don't waste a potential spot on a one off score. Bit different if this was late season, spare trades, and likely to boost you ahead

Short of injury at center i dont see lomax getting a shot. Stimson could easily come back on the bench after a great showing by kbrom. If you were going to consider it my pick would be xerri

Bmoz is the player i regret not having but cant find a place for him.

Well as they only have 8 interchanges, I guess he probably only had Staggs there as HIA cover and was not going to use him at all. So they would've had 8 interchanges for 3 bench players but as 1 interchange was taken up by staggs he only had 7 interchanges now.

I've Fifita, Sam Burgess, Murray, Brett Morris, Moylan, Radley, Capewell.

Seriously thinking of captaining Moylan as a POD because he smashed knights last year and heard he had a decent trial against the knights

I thought the same. I think it is more an experience thing. Lots of young guys on the park and needed experienced guys back on deck to try to win.

I had this feeling i think it was Round 1 last year. He was in for a CLEAR meat pie, ball got passed to his chest 15 metres out from clear pastures and dropped the ball cold turkey. Was a big breath of fresh air. Went on to only score 29 that game.
