Re: NRL Fantasy 2019 Part 16
NRL physio says most cases of ruptures testicles take 4-6 weeks recovery though sometimes much earlier (Capewell came back after one week out)
I think if Lawrie made the starting spot I would definitely have to take the risk and bring him in.
Radley> Lawrie would give me enough cash to turn any failed 212k cow into Moylan and put Kahu into 18-21
Season defining move in R1!
Speaking of Moylan, anybody have some stats from his time in FB at the panthers? (pretty please with sugar on top!)
RTS and Moylan were the standout fullbacks of this round so far. But RTS scored a try and was actually on a pretty poor score until then. In a game where the Warriors do not dominate by 40 points I can still see him struggling. Moylan on the other hand scored 50+ with no try in a game that was more of an argy bargy forwards battle. When the Sharkies whip a team he will go massive. Has me all hot and bothered.
Thoughts on these two?

So out of Lawrie and Host which one do you choose if you can only have one.

Depends. If it's a NPR that's expected back in a week or two might be worth it

714 with Arrow, Brown, Sivo and Edwards to go.
Radley, Burns, Tedesco and Holland my only 1- 17 players under 50 so far. I suspect Radley will be gone next round. I didn't like the way he played and better options for much less out there. Teddy will be back, I got him for the season he will average out. Holland and Burns are on notice.
Captain Cook didn't go too flash, but he has earned some patience. I just may place the C elsewhere next round.
I originally had CNK as my third WFB, but traded him out (with Mikaele) yesterday to bring in Host and Burr plus give me $140k cash to make some changes. Plan will be to move Burns to WFB and bring in Bird for Centre. So far it is looking like a good move cash wise with Host and Burr getting 40 and having money in the bank. but will see how CNK plays tonight. Chances are he will go large for you lads now I jumped off.
Wtf. He scored 39 as a sub $350k player at CTR/WFB. That's a win

Actually turns out I can get both next week, worth the double trade though?

what are you guys thinking, is this scoring the new normal? 1000+ on round 1 is ridiculous. Could be a massive outlier when we look back in like 10 rounds or maybe not so much

Lawrie, double the PPM. Extra minutes make a huge difference for him

Yea I was very impressed with him, so I thank Cook for the recommendation. 39 points, with no try or TA and against last years winners

I don't have him but if I did he would get traded to Bird or I'd hold. He'll go okay. People just disappointed he didn't go big like some other cheapies

So 39 game sample (including 2 at the sharks) at 80 mins= 40pt avg
That is with 1 try every 4 games
In the games he didn't score a try his average was 35pt avg
About half his stats aren't base so would rely on a few tackle breaks, line breaks/assists and the odd try to keep up the average
Given his BE was 34, then you could understand people not rushing out to buy him or gambling on him being more involved.
So either this was an outlier score or a sign of things to come
My opinion would be a 40-45 point average. His time in the halves and the way the sharks use their fullback as another playmaker means he will be involved.
But I don't think I would rush out to grab him just yet based on 1 game alone unless you think 45-50 is his avg

Was thinking about this last night. Some proven Guns firing early, but a few popular risky/unknown players scoring tries is part of it as well.Adrianoooo wrote:what are you guys thinking, is this scoring the new normal? 1000+ on round 1 is ridiculous. Footy has been decent as well. A bit of wet weather slogging. Not sure on penalty counts but obviously a lot less then last year; but not sure about years before that.

Re: NRL Fantasy 2019 Part 16
Looks like all the premium halves have gone bust this week. Cleary the only one to come.. It'll be interesting to see if D. Brown will score well too.
Anybody thinking of shifting on a premium half to bring in other players and hoping the cheap halves deliver?

I can only see him getting 35 minutes with the pack they are running and Tyrone peachey will also steal 20 minutes at lock when brimson gets put on.

I traded him out 10 mins before game time. I wanted Garner's score and needed a non-player. I also figured the conditions weren't in his favour. And he was one of the last players I added to my squad. I went with my gutt and with my love for points
This round has presented us with quite a few cheap cows ready to make a bunch of cash. I see no issue to trade out Kahu for a cheap cow you missed out on.
