Have Jack Bird sitting in the NPR's, I don't want him there but I wouldn't play him over my bench of Lawrie, Taupau, Host and Nikora so my only option to have him in would be to trade out Holland since having a 400k player in the NPR's is a complete waste.

I have him at 21 atm. I'm playing who I think will score the most points and he's lucky he's not been sold yet

Does the extra coin saved from going Host instead of Lawrie/Bird sway the decision for anyone? Especially going from the likes of Garrick?

    Friend Mahoney Sironen Garner

    Nikora Host Brown Ravalawa

Had a good first week and the only people I’m really unhappy with are Holland and kahu but both aren’t desperate sells

    Cheers for the reply

Mate if you can I would drop Kahu and buy Lawrie. I know that means you play Ravalawa and are short for cover but that's Ok short term while trying to make money
Whether Lawrie starts or is on bench is neither here nor there, he is playing 35+ minutes for 35-55 points all season, and Host is the one that has terrible job security.

    I would start like this:

    McCullough
    Tolman Fifi
    Arrow Murray lane
    Morgan DBrown
    Capewell Nikora
    Ravalawa Hughes Burns

    Friend Lawrie Sironen/Garner/Mahoney

    Holland Host Keighran (Mahoney/Garner/Sironen)

Already have C Murray, Fifita, Gillett, TPJ, Taumalolo.

    Help would be great!

With his role change Ryan James does look like a sell, if you post your team we can give you best advice on who to trade him for

For someone like me who only has 94K (i expected this to be more than enough before the season) Host/Sele/Mikaele is all i can afford.

I think I’ll have Holland at 18. Think the rest out score him, I’m Only giving him one more week to prove himself or I’ll trade him a firing cow

Although I would love to get Batman in. I think it is worth seeing his next game or two and see where he averages out over 3 games. Could score 35 this week against storm and although that’s a good score for a CTR, you have just moved heaven and earth to have him in your team. I don’t think he’ll be scoring 60+ every week. I am not making any trades this week. Hoping a cow pops up next week and giving holland/arrow one more chance to come good. Will look to offload holland before arrow depending on scores this week and Garrick or Sivo depending the same.

Can you go Garrick to Lawrie at all in 1 trade? You probably should and you won't be disappointed. Or do you have him already?

I would if I could mate. Only have 94K and can only go Sele/Host/Mikaele or the likes, otherwise, i would be looking at offloading Holland as well.

For those picking up Host my expections are he will make $120K from here before being on bench and being a trade. To me that is not worth it.

I need to choose between Ravalawa & Kahu for the last WFB spot.

Kahu wants to prove a point to his old club but what that point is anyone's guess.

Ravalawa is facing a tough team and playing the first game of the round. If he does shit all then your weekend starts on a wrong foot.

    Any thoughts?

I'm pretty confident that when full strength (week 5) dragons team will be

    Graham
    McInnes
    Vaughan
    T Sims
    T Frizell
    K Sims/BLawrie

    Dufty
    K Sims/BLawrie
    Latimore
    Leilua/Host

Whether Lawrie is on the bench he is getting 35+ minutes at 1 ppm all season whereas Host will be back to the bench or out of side altogether.

In regards to the Dragons, they lost JDB and LAM, and only replaced with KSims, and Blake Lawrie is the player to benefit.

Host is benefiting from no Korbin Sims, but now with no Frizell he gets a few more weeks.

I still see him getting the 40 minutes he needs to score 30-45 to make the cash we’d want no?

Try and guess the minutes. They could possibly drop to 30-35 by next week with just Ksims back.

55 Vaughn 55 Graham 50 Ksims which leaves 80 mins in the middle between Latimore, Lawrie and possibly Leilua (who i think will rotate with host but you never know)

Then there has been talk about Mcinnes moving to lock when Dufty (13mins last week) comes on which could reduce those 80 mins even further.

I think both have a really strong case.

Lawrie has some question marks over him but i don't see Sims walking straight into that 13 jumper once he is back. Lawrie has a great PPM and i see him making another 170K over the next month; however, if Sims does grab that 13 jumper and Friz goes to 2RF, who gets the bench digs? him or host. Verdict - Get another week of good scores at least and maybe a few cash rises from the pine.

Birds job security is solid. Looks the goods fantasy wise and i think is in for a 50+ sooner rather than later. Can see him putting Oates over for a double a few times this year. At his price i think he will only generate more cash and after shaking off the cobwebs last week could be in for a solid ride. There is that fear that he will trap plenty of people though, but with his high ownership you wont be losing much as almost half the comp has him. Verdict - Slightly ahead of Lawrie; however, if Lawrie was a bit more solid JS wise he would be slightly behind.

Nice analysis mate. It's very tough on all counts really and we need a crystal ball to know the true answer. For me, Lawrie seems the best option and can just get Bird next week for Morris if he shits himself again. I just don't know if I like spending 100K on a cow that could be benched next week.
