    That's a fair question mate. Asking questions is the best way for a noob to learn.

    I only just worked out last week what BPPG meant, and I started playing NRL.com fantasy in 2009. Embarassed  LOL

    EDIT (for those watching at home):

    TLT: Teams List Tuesday
    BPPG = Base Points Per Game

    Chris Lawrence is now due back round 8. Garner is looking too good to be dropped from starting, how do you see this playing out?

    I don't see why the tigers would feel obliged to keep Lawrence happy.

    He isn't a better player, and he will be reinjured again in round 9. 30 years old now.

    I'd give him a birthday card and give him the Reynolds treatment.

    Just thinking of the cash generation as surely Bird will make more cash than Kahu. This is my team if I make the Bird trade

    8k bank 86th overall

    Cook
    Fifita Tolman
    Murray Lane Arrow
    Morgan Brown
    Nikora Bird
    Hughes CNK Burns

    Mahoney
    Gillett
    Garner
    Capewell

    Lawrie
    Keighran
    Sivo
    Ravalawa

    I guess I’m thinking in the next couple of weeks it may be time to cash out Gillett or Capewell and upgrade the other or Tolman etc etc

    I have no idea how Lisone is still in the team. Most of the guys from the McFaddyn era have been moved on now and Lisone is still making the same errors he was back in those days. I hope he isn't picked again.

    Jrey killed it in the Reggies this week. Claw spent all of 2014 and half of 2015 at Centre.... rendeer I think Garner maybe takes a seat on the pine in this instance though.

    If Garner isn't a concern until round 8, then he has done his job.

    There were pre-season rumours among Tigers people that he'd be starting over Lawrence at some point this season anyway.

    I wasn't going to trade Edwards but I can trade him to Burns and turn McCullough into Cameron Smith. Stupid trades?

    MPG = minutes per game
    PPG = points per game
    BPPG = base points per game
    PPM = points per min

    And by default:

    BPPM = base points per minute (although I can't recall ever seeing/hearing this quoted)

    P.S. It wasn't until my second season of playing (2010) before I heard/learnt the fantasy term POD. Embarassed LOL

    Just using the same players I have and making the same trades, but with perfect captain and bench selection, I could be in outright 2nd.

    These are silly games because there are people with Taumalolo and others who also got some bas luck with injuries and who are also just as capable of giving themselves imaginary points to make themselves feel better. But it is quite close at the top and small things can make a difference.
    Just have to hope the luck evens out over the course of the year

    Did you account for the other people that had Friend?

    Garner was great on the weekend.  Really no reason to drop him just cause it's Claw.  If he is still playing the way he is.

    Just add up expected scores which is looking like 90 tops vs 140 tops and then work out cost

    Xerri scored 67 at the weekend, averaging 58 the first 2 rounds of ISP. Really hope he gets his chance this week, especially if it is at right center. Already in my team, ready to fire.

    Garner gets these little 15 minute rests at the back end of games which ain't a good sign for a back-rower but I doubt CLaw would affect him too much.

    He wouldn't walk straight back into the starting side after a long-term injury like that and Madge is not the sentimental type as evidenced by him dropping Nathan Merritt in 2014. As others have said if CLaw's return is enough to trouble Garner's score though then he should be ready to sell by then anyway.
