After his 33 kahu is probably a hold for now but I see the attraction of the bird move. Would also allow bird to start in your centres and lawrie to 18th man if he looks like dropping from 40s to low 30s

Sivo and rava deserve another week IMO unless TLT throws up something juicy

Haha yeah it’s like looking in a mirror right!
You’re probably right but I feel like I have to bring in Bird or it could really bite(famous last words). We must be really close on the rankings, still fuming that I didn’t back my Eels man Brown over Keighran or I think I would be sitting in 15th,lol oh well that’s fantasy

Hopefully Morgan is 100% and they are not playing him busted, cause he sure looked busted on the weekend.

I would hold this one mate. Vaughn still has an average of 49. Scored 57 in Round 1 and 41 last week coming off a 5 day turn around and getting pummelled by the Rabbits. Should have some handy inclusions this week to help provide some go forward and will need to stand up against the Broncos. Don't get me wrong Surgess is looking like a top tier scorer and you'll want him in your final team but don't lose faith in Vaughn after 1 sub par game.

Yeah I’m 96th and was the wrong side of the roulette this week. Also had a friend no show and sironen injury this week and Nikora in my EMGs last week. Probably the sort of things you need to go your way to win the overall but it’s hard to be unhappy so far!

Yeah bird has been the main player to hurt so far. Picked kahu and Holland over him and CNK to start. Have righted the CNK mistake. Bird will cost more to correct sadly

Sironen or Capewell would probably be the ones to drop for bird but I feel that may not make sense for a trade given the value of trades and the likelihood they both end up at around 600k

Like - Holland to a cow Xerri/Moga etc.
    or
Dislike - Holland to BS9/Stimson etc.

Capewell was headed for 40+ before being shifted to the wing for the last 15-20 minutes. He'll come good this week. SJ/Nikora could be in for a big score against the Cows on a dry track and against Morgo/Cooper defence.

I don't get the Sam Burgess buy now he is priced at 50.

If he doesn't score the tries he scores 46 and probably around 50 due to the try assist.
I think he will more often than not hit around 45.

Teddy and Chricton are now priced at around 48 and should start to score better.

Pre TLT I've gone Rava to Teddy, Lolo to Bird.

    Team stands as

    Mahoney
    Fifita Taupau
    Arrow Murray Lane
    Morgan DBrown
    Nikora Bird
    Tedesco DEdwards Burns

    Niukore Garner Lawrie

    Keighran, Burr, Roache, Holland, Mikaele.

Anyone see anything else I should be doing. Makes sense to basically trade Lolo to Teddy with the lack of cover at fullback and upgrade someone to Bird.

It probably makes more sense if you're going to play him FRF as there are not many FRFs that play over 65 mins consistently (Surgess should play 70 give or take each week, don't know if he is 80 min player) as there is Fifita and Taupau and then Surgess is a bit above the rest of the contenders. Could he end up being a final 17 player on the bench as well or an 18th man to end the season, so you'll be buying him cheaper than most (although major price rise this week)

They do face the 3 early contenders for the wooden spoon in next 4 weeks (Titans, Dogs, Eagles) so he has the fixtures to continue scoring tries

You know you had a bad week when you have 4/5 players that feature in the top5 www.nrl.com fantasy reality checks for round 2. Still managed an 832 though.

He will be cheaper than $727k before round 12 I think, doesn't take much to drop in price with a few back to back 40's

Yeah I agree in the comment about saving the trade and probably safer points at this stage with bird more explosive

Capewell could well find himself in the same situation more this season given he has Dugan in the backs..

Thanks for your advice though. Makes me think standing by my picks in sironen and Capewell is the right call

    See any other moves?

Gal came out and said that SJ was asking him and the coaches if Nikora can play next to him because they immediately had a great connection and he was running great lines. Mind you a lot of those expected averages were going off not much data. CNK getting a handy 46 against the Storm and up against the Knights this week.

Reminds me of SJ and Bodene Thompson.. So good on that right edge Beating Heart

I'd be picking up Jordan McLean or Alex Twal at their prices over Sam Burgess. Much better picks as alpha props in their teams playing 50+ minutes.

Minus fallen gun prices which have had a poor start Teddy, Crichton etc and the ascending cows Burns, Bird etc

Best current value I can see is Twal, if he continues playing 50-60 minutes, kid will average 48-55. Plus best tackle completion rate in comp so you don’t have to get infuriated by watching him shoot out and miss 2-3 tackles in a row Very Happy

At a price where i would need to be sideways trading or downgrading a cut price keeper (Tolma, Gillett, Mahoney). Would love him but have other areas to fix right now.
