@ wackos - Yeo will be ruled out of the Storm game due to concussion. Saw a specialist today but won't play this weekend.

Minutes for Sele perhaps. Those that took the punt on JFH doing well too.

A big in for them. Hopefully reduced minutes to start for a price drop. He was in my team in preseason before the injury.

True, true.
I think picking Xerri is a strategy, moreso than a "POD". Xerri is top of most peoples list if he actually gets game time, picking him to start the season is a strategic selection. (Don't mention the fkn dirty word around here).
One of the mistakes I made last season was to kill off one of my bench spots too early, especially now we have a 21 man squad. Ideally you want to have all your players generating cash. Starting with a non-playing potential cash-cow like Xerri on the bench is a bit of a gamble. He might get a run this week, but for how long? will it be worth it?

I remember Kikau changing the game in the panthers favour so many times when coming onto the field last season, great impact player

I'm disappointed that Matt talked a big POD strategy in pre-season, but only picked one in the end.
I started with a number of PODs, Bateman when he was 6%, Katoa at 1.5%, Burns was 6%, Holland 6%, Xerri when he wasn't starting (drink). With the exception of Holland, all have been Gold!

100% mate. Even if you could start from scratch no, you still wouldn't even come close to putting a team together that till does require a huge amount of money to be generated to get anywhere near a final 17/18. Killing off a spot that could be used to generate cash is a flawed strategy IMO.

Burns and Holland don't really count. Whilst their ownership was under 10 % a lot of serious players had him. Whereas less serious players might have had lolo for example even though a high percentage ownership.

Raiders injury update (website) : Tapine will only miss 1 to 2 weeks. No surgery.

Great news, now just need Bateman to get some attacking stats the next couple of weeks while everyone has decided he isn't worth it in 2RF position.
