Feki and Moylan both injured, with Xerri the replacement for either.

Best case scenario is Xerri comes in for Feki, then plays so well that he takes Feki's spot from him. (Chance of Xerri taking Moylan's spot long term is pretty much zero)

Xerri is going to be much more effective at right center, that is my preference for him this week, with Dugan at Fullback. If both spots are open that is where they will play him as he is a natural center.

With both spots open i'd fail to see how Capewell doesnt play centre and have the rookie start out on the wing with Sorenson or Buyuka playing in the second row. I think for his first week either way he'll be on the wing

Xerri is the only outside back in the extended 21 so if Moylan and Feki are both out, Cronulla would have to seek dispensation to play someone outside the 21, or move Capewell/other forward into the backline.

And they'd likely get blocked as those players both had injuries which were known about before TLT. Unless the Sharks want to get creative, which, well, they've done so with the salary cap Very Happy

Sounds like Moylan will definitely play though. Feki is the main concern and Xerri would be his replacement on the left wing, if he's ruled out.

They have been training with Xerri at right center. If that was the plan Capewell would have trained there and him on the left wing.

Well, the source of the news only said "centre". People made assumptions that it was "right" centre.

There was also no other mention of how the other two positions were filled in for at training.

If they are both out, I'm sure they'll get exemption (if they actually want it). You only get to name 4 extra players outside your 'first choice' 17, it's physically impossible to name 1 person ti cover for every position - covering 2 backups for each position is a definite no go.

Lachlan Lam wasn't named last week and he got a run.

They probably would, its not really a big deal to let a younger player come in.

Technically, Lam was allowed to come in, because Cronk "sustained his injury" after TLT.

SC Podcast advised Xerri training at right center, that was the source.
