    I am damn well trying to be a Yolo coach this year, my usual conservative approach has not done me any favours the last couple of years.
    I am suspecting this game needs to be played aggressively, with less thinking and more luck

    Thinking about trading Keighran out. I am aware how fucking stupid that sounds and that he has a breakeven of 3. But it is the only feasible way I can get Burns into my team, and I am stuck with Kahu at 3rd WFB otherwise. I actually think Keighran's first score was the famous first-game-rookie adrenaline rush we see often, and Green is far too dominant a play maker this year. My gut has him pegged for regular 20s and maybe a 30-40k price rise at best unless he finds the stripe. I would love anybody with a strong opinion to the contrary to put their case forward. I can trade him to Burns who I think will make more money and provide close enough to keeper scores in the backline for the time being, and then additionally save a trade for this round. My only other options for Kahu>Burns would be to
    A) trade Tolman to Napa
    or
    B) Burr (my current 4th reserve) to a Waddell-kind of nobody who I would then have to play.
    Neither of those options particularly appeals to me and would cost me two trades to do. My other cashies (Sivo, Brown, Ravalawa) are all making megabucks anyway, so the lost cash if I fuck this huge call up is not the biggest issue for me (though the embarrassment of selling him if he comes out with a 50 point game might).

    Any thoughts appreciated

    Tl;dr- Keighran>Burns ; I am an idiot.

    Flavour of the minute Rein would get you there as well which may appeal more. You could certainly be right about Keighran but he's got 50k in the next 2 weeks at a minimum surely. It would be very bold to beton <15 points for the next two weeks.

    Tolman -> Rein
    Kahu -> Burns

    I know I just linked a different poll but we've narrowed the actual options (due to a lack of cash) around getting Tedesco, Bateman and Rein into the forum team. Check it out so we have some opinions pre lockout in 14 hours.

    As soon as I heard about Peats I had this same idea
    I think I definitely would if I could, but my FRF cover Lawrie is locked out, so Tolman is stuck on the field Sad.
    Good thinking though!

    Yeah i think if u are behind and take a methodical calculated approach u may feel gud about ur decisions etc but nothing wrong with risking it, things may fall ur way. Otherwise if u hesitate u may feel like ur just going with the crowd in ending up doing the same/similar trade down the line.
    Probably didnt say alot here, such is life. Yolo still applies.

    I like it. Normally I’d be a Burr to Waddell kind of guy but Burr is obviously a coach favourite. Follow your hunches

    Jeez Bateman was looked after tonight! Nrl somehow found 6 extra tackles, 4 extra tackle breaks and 22 extra metres compared to SuperCoach. Hmmm and there’s no failhub favourites eh?

    blah, Kahu to Rein is a no-brainer, but my dumb-ass decided to save a trade, then double-down on that mistake and decide to play Kahu for the week and lock my only other WFB into the EMG Mad

    is insomniac trading as bad as drunk trading? Starting to wonder if it's worth downgrading Kahu to Garrick to scratch together the funds to go Sele -> Rein

Hopefully I don't regret bringing him in last round but if Clifford affects his KMs I'll consider it. Has anyone else given it thought?

    I actually had Clifford over Morgan in my pre-season teams (until TMM got the gig) so absolutely watching this too. Have no issues going Morgan to Clifford if need but already trades looking an issue with some key guys bottoming out

    I just traded morgan for rein.

    Reason 1 macca is my only hooker
    Reason 2 stay loyal to rein for all that money he made us last year
    Reason 3 looking at using 2 trades next week for Tedy and co

    TBO, I had a trade of Edwards/Macca to Teddy/Bateman on Thursday but reversed it in the anticipation that both would score modestly and make that trade next week. Now I wake after a restless sleep due to going from top 100 to somewhere near Invercargill and I have this type of pessimistic, deflating prediction from you!! I hope you find satisfaction in that
