I watched him on league life? (or whatever its called) the other week with Hodgson and he mentioned that pre-season involved a 40 degree day, although admittedly it would have been far less humid.  I think the heat might slow him down a LITTLE but personally I'd tip it will hardly be noticeable. I think if he does start gassing we have Hudson Young on the bench so at least its unlikely he stays out there tired and starts dropping off a heap of tackles to undo all his good work. I really want him in this week but I'm probably going to have to skip him for my other trades.

Bateman can last 80 minutes at lock, dont see any issues for him on the edge.

    1) His role has changed under Wayne. He's establishing plays, not finishing them.
    2) There are fewer scoots, likely as a result of 1.
    3) He needed 2 TAs to get to 60 in R2.
    4) Lost time over Origin.
    5) As a 55-point player there's more cash to drop
    6) Look, I really don't trust Wayne not to do further weird things.
    7) His cash turns dud cows into Bateman this week and Ponga the next (although it means running a 1-hooker team for a fortnight, which is scary).

    How wrong am I?

I am 80% sure I am trading him out this week. Gives me the cash I need elsewhere for bringing in guns each week the next couple of weeks. This is clearly Reynolds team now, not Cooks. I will still have 3 hookers after the trade out.

    Rabbit wrote:Rabbit’s roundup

Edwards will gun it this week with Penrith embarrassed last week, Kikau and Yeo back, and plenty more go forward to take advantage of. People forget how effective Yeo is on that right edge.

Cook’s role has not changed. You don’t play all your cards unless you need to. Also, expect him to do some more kicking with Walker carrying a shoulder injury and either out, or nursing the injury.

Rein is the must have this week. Titans have no other actual hookers.

Harris Tevita will be a gun. Kearney gave the older Keighran a run first. I think he always knew he was risky having already been in the Bulldogs and Penrith systems. Now the young kid gets his chance to nab the starting spot for good. I actually see both of them in the team at some point. Green may get injured or dropped, plus Keighran is really a centre and an opportunity may arise there.

Lawrie for 50, starting lock. He’s a real footy player and will gradually get more minutes.

Arrow 50 minutes. 43 points. Don’t captain him.

    Rabbits by 30.

    Fuck the Broncos.

Lawrie has been playing starting lock already.

Arrow is playing the Warriors. 50min is all he needs

Sorry if I’ve missed this guys, but did y’all see the Lone Scout report on NRL.com where he casually dropped the news that he thinks Dylan Brown is out for 8-12 weeks?? Is this the general thought?

I’d dropped Keighran this week, but in light of this info it has to be Brown, ay?

Yeah, same. Just makes sense. Read another report that he's be more of a play maker, not running. Meh.

And as underwhelming as he’s been in the past, jeez it makes Salmon seem a much more interesting option, if he’s going to have that sort of potential job security. Thoughts?

Yeah was interesting hearing Chris Kennedy mention 2 months minimum, reading that the bruising is a precursor to fractures also scares me.

I don’t always agree with you, but a man that plays scratch(ish) golf and signs off with fuck the broncos , how can I argue against that

He's also had the bruising since pre-season.

Only thing official is that he is out "indefinitely"

Kikau and (maybe) Mansour back, with Yeo, on a dry track, with a very motivated Dedwards against the Tigers?

Cleary (c). Lock it in. 80 point game.

It was never “Cook’s team”. Lol Nothing has changed whatsoever, except that Crichton leaving allows Burgess to go to right edge and Murray to lock. Reyno will get more opportunities, but Cook will do what he always does. Play what’s in front of him.

I hope plenty of you do trade him out though....less teams to worry about. Major error.

Because we are panic merchants. 1 below average score is cause for concern. 2 below average scores in a row is pretty terrible.

3 below average scores (or 2 below average scores and 1 at average in the case of Cook) signals an irrevocable slide into fantasy obscurity.

Everyone else will be trading Cook in soon (well after we have Teddy, Bateman, Ponga, Crichton), so I wouldn't ditch him just yet

There were doubts about Lawrie’s role. Now there aren’t.

Arrow needs more than 50 minutes. Look at how he scored at the back end of last year with those minutes. Shithouse.

It’s a bruised back. No structural damage. 2 weeks max.

I’m dropping Brown for CHT - lets me hedge my bets on the warriors halves until I can afford an upgrade, if CHT only lasts a couple of games I get Keighran back in - gives me the loop option for a week or two as well as an inadvertent bonus
