Funny thing is, if he busts out a 60 this week, people will consider bringing him in at a bargain price.

Yeah. Gains and losses only matter at the point they're realised. Could easily earn it back come season end
Rapture_NRL wrote:Yeah Edwards has to come good at some point. If I didn't have 33 other players to deal with I would have traded him lol
Anybody trading Napa in?

If he gets dropped though then we're fucked.
I watched him on league life? (or whatever its called) the other week with Hodgson and he mentioned that pre-season involved a 40 degree day, although admittedly it would have been far less humid. I think the heat might slow him down a LITTLE but personally I'd tip it will hardly be noticeable. I think if he does start gassing we have Hudson Young on the bench so at least its unlikely he stays out there tired and starts dropping off a heap of tackles to undo all his good work. I really want him in this week but I'm probably going to have to skip him for my other trades.Ponga Yeo the Mann wrote:Re Tedesco - we've seen him struggle, or at least not be quite himself in the wet and we've seen the SCG be a horrible pitch. we are meant to get some (not a lot but some) more rain today in Sydney. scares me off him a little bit. He's a very instinctive player and post 2 ACL reco's I think the soft SCG makes him play a touch more conservatively
I'm currently picking between him and Bateman. Tedesco probably makes more sense for my team but I'm thinking I might wait a week and go ponga instead of Tedesco for now to see how he goes on the SCG going forward.
Bateman on the other hand has his first Townsville game. Will the heat and humidity hurt him much? He seems like a bit of a machine

A belated Welcome to you though either way.

1) His role has changed under Wayne. He's establishing plays, not finishing them.
2) There are fewer scoots, likely as a result of 1.
3) He needed 2 TAs to get to 60 in R2.
4) Lost time over Origin.
5) As a 55-point player there's more cash to drop
6) Look, I really don't trust Wayne not to do further weird things.
7) His cash turns dud cows into Bateman this week and Ponga the next (although it means running a 1-hooker team for a fortnight, which is scary).
How wrong am I?

Edwards will gun it this week with Penrith embarrassed last week, Kikau and Yeo back, and plenty more go forward to take advantage of. People forget how effective Yeo is on that right edge.
Cook’s role has not changed. You don’t play all your cards unless you need to. Also, expect him to do some more kicking with Walker carrying a shoulder injury and either out, or nursing the injury. 70+ score
Rein is the must have this week. Titans have no other actual hookers.
Harris Tevita will be a gun. Kearney gave the older Keighran a run first. I think he always knew he was risky having already been in the Bulldogs and Penrith systems. Now the young kid gets his chance to nab the starting spot for good. I actually see both of them in the team at some point. Green may get injured or dropped, plus Keighran is really a centre and an opportunity may arise there.
Lawrie for 50, starting lock. He’s a real footy player and will gradually get more minutes. Lawrie to be late change to bench with KSims being elevated
Arrow 50 minutes. 43 points. Don’t captain him.
Arrow for 60

I haven't seen enough of Aekins to make a judgement on him but if you ignore last week Edwards is a way better fullback than DWZ. He gets at least one more week to repay my faith.
