Sitting just inside the top 10,000 so fair to say things aren't going to plan.

    Team for Rd12 includes:

    Rein
    Tolman
    Arrow*, Murray, Cartwright
    Morgan*, Brown

    Edwards, CNK, Sivo

Obviously a few question marks on some player due to Origin or wether I'd still own them.

Is it worth following the Welshy path and going for a top Rd12 team?

I feel like although my team looks decent at the moment, I'm going to get left behind pretty quickly with people being able to chase Ponga and Crichton in 2 trades and stuff like that

Am tempted to forego Okunbur and CHT and go for Whitehead + Brown to Xerri + Ponga to solve my WFB issue this week - otherwise it would be simple cash generation to do Brown + Keighran to Okunbur + CHT this week and get Ponga next week

Any other ideas with this team:
    Cook
    Fifita Tolman
    Arrow Murray Bateman
    Morgan Cartwright
    Bird Nikora
    Tedesco CNK Ravalawa

    Mahoney Whitehead Garner Lawrie
    Sivo Garrick Brown Keighran

If you were sitting at rank 537 and had 482k in the bank would you update some players to grab a bottoming up keeper or go for more low price cows?

    Rein.
    Fifita. Vaughan
    Murray. Nikora. Capewell.
    Munster. Morgan.
    Bird. Bateman.
    Teddy. CNK. Ponga.
    Xerri. CHT. Garner. Burr.
    Host. Ravalava. Burns. Brown.

I'm not exactly struggling for points at the moment so I'm thinking generating more cash would be advantageous however getting the right priced fallen gun at the right time is also key.
You're doing much better than last season!
The majority of your team still has cash to make which makes trades not urgent. You've got Teddy, Ponga and Bateman already.
    Possible trades i would consider:
Capewell to Crichton (just bottomed out)
    Host to new cow
Brown to new cow (not urgent if you want to keep Brown)

He’s not going that path mate, his plan is to bring in ponga and Crichton. I just suggested he should Evil or Very Mad

    Not in bad shape mate would suggest medium term;

Bird to Round 12 gun (Surgess or Taupau), Bateman to centre via Whitehead downgrade cash.

I know Whitehead is a round 12 player but the points he won’t get will kill you by then.

Otherwise Garner good to hold later move for Kikau/CHN

You have Teddy so Ponga not as urgent imo. Many like me have neither

Similar plan but I'd go Edwards to Tedesco and Macca to CHT. (CHT being for cash generation)

Leaves 262k cash for next week grabbing Ponga (~665k) and Bird, Burns or Garner can do that in a single trade. You could swap Ponga this week and Teddy next but Teddys BE is lower.

    Rein
    Fifi Taupau
    Murray Arrow Bateman
    Morgan Carty
    Capewell Nikora
    Ponga CNK Tedesco

    CHT Sivo Garner Lawrie
    Rava Keighan Burns Morris

Your bench would be weak but it shores up your back 3. Injuries will let you play loops so the bench isn't as dire as it looks. Alternately rely on Morris/Burns when they come back and maybe you could pickup Chrichton or Cleary over Teddy/Ponga.

Other path is getting cash out of your Morris/Burns to CHT/Xerri and picking up double guns next week.

Thanks mate, that's an interesting viewpoint. Not sure I like running with just 1 hooker though. Although Macca is pissing me off.

But reading Joku's stats he is so hard to pass up it makes me suspicious- how have I never even heard of him before if he is so adept at busting the line? Is this kid a fluke?

Spent the first half of last year in the forwards, and from a fantasy point of view he was pretty poor.

Moved onto the wing round 16 and got the following scores
    31, 17, 16, 24, 52, 37, 21, 38, 32, 32

Do we think of host is fit this week that :FrizelStop: starts at lock and lawrie to the bench to be a part of the prop rotation?

I still expect 40-50 for lawrie but not certain of him starting despite the sims injury

CHT just has to score in the 40’s to have the same BE as Okie next week? Am I wrong? Not sure how to work this out?

I should have remembered that NSW fullbacks have the body constitution of a damp scotch finger before bringing him in last week.

I think I'll go Xerri instead of Oku.

Trade costs me 70k less, which will really help next week. If Xerri averages 35 and Oku averages 30 for the next three games, they make about the same amount of cash. I'm obviuosly banking on Xerri being at least a 5pt better player than Oku.

Deadset I was actually looking at something similar to that as well, Bird with a BE of 22 might be on his last legs. Could go with the double downgrade this week and get Bird to Taupau next week. With Okunbur getting 200m in base stats (20 points) he only needs a couple of TBs and he might be on par with Whitehead anyway for 200k less

Edit: Whitehead + Bird to Xerri + Taupau leaves me 0k ITB, surely got to be done instead

CHT- cheaper, plays Rabbits, Cowboys and Storm next, looks secure in his role, good HLF cover

Okunbor- $50k more, plays Dragons, Rabbits, Cowboys, known WFB scores, playing due to merit, made CS9 his b**** Laughing DPP 2RF/CTR

Similar draws. Bit more known about Okunbor. CHT has plenty of potential though. Pretty much comes down to cash available and team structure

    [quote="Camo123"]

The major difference in Birds scoring over the first four rounds has been missed tackles, and try assists.

Try assists, 3 in the first two games, 0 in the next two.
Missed tackles, 2 in the first two games, 11 in the next two.

That's a big point swing to the negatives, mainly because the Broncos have been woeful. I think its unlikely we'll be as bad as we were in the last couple of weeks. Should see some sort of response this week.

Im not exactly sure what you are asking mate? Do you wanna know what score CHT would need this week to have the same current BE as Okie? Im a little confused why you wanna know this. If so, I think the answer is 60 as I am seeing Okie's BE as -20.

Im not sure why you'd wanna know this though...

After really looking at my team. I think I either get Bateman this week or forgo him for the season.

    Soo...

    UPVOTE

    B. Burns & D. Edwards Out
    J. Bateman & P. Haas (or other rookie) In

    DOWNVOTE

    J. Host & D. Edwards  Out
    K. Ponga &  P. Haas (or other rookie) In

It means I play Rava this week which sucks, but next week using two of Bird, Lawrie, Burr, & Host will be able to get me Ponga and another CC. (Which are drying up as I am missing the boat on CHT & Okunbur.

    Edit:

I could also dump Edwards + Host for Okunbur and Chanel. Which would bank $328k to then get me one of Bateman/Ponga next week, and chase the other the following week.
