Yeah DCE and Klemmer are killing it but aren't much of a trade target for anyone that I've seen. They're on my list but I have more pressing concerns to take care of.

Gillett was on track for 40+ last week until he got injured. So if you want to trade him out, make sure you are doing so based on future expectations, and aren't just knee jerking to a low score (that was going to be a good score except for HIA)

I agree with this sentiment. Not an immediate trade.

I'm trading Bird. He's pissed me off this week and he'll probably come good, but if you have eg Bateman/Nikora there's not much point in having 470k on the EMG that may or may not make another 100k on an optimistic 40 average over the next couple of months. There are quicker ways to make money.

Pretty much my reasoning. I don't have Bateman but I do have Capewell who thanks to his big score has actually gone past Bird on average and total points scored. If I have another solid CTR option and Bird doesn't look like making much more cash anytime soon then might as well cut ties.

Bird's up against the best defensive team in the comp in the Raiders this week. As weird a statement as that sounds, it's just one more sign that doesn't look encouraging for keeping him in my opinion.

I'm not on the trade bird bandwagon.

I think he could still make money. Depends what your team looks like I guess.

You looking to raise money? Need context!

Looking to bring in a gun and a cow. So Haas and Ponga are coming in. Haas for cash and Ponga to solidify WFB/HLF

Getting rid of Edwards and need someone around 450k to make it happen

    Hi guys

Been staying off the radar this season as I felt the last few I've fallen into a bit of group think that affected my decisions. It's worked so far. Currently ranked 33 (my best start by a long way), thought I'd share my team in case it helps (and to brag ...):

    Rein
    Fifita Vaughan
    Twal Murray Garner
    Munster Morgan
    Bateman Nikora
    RTS Tedesco CNK

    Lawrie Capewell CHT Haas

Most of my trades have been messing with cashies. Missed Bateman but got him in last week (for Macca) and got Teddy in round 3. Haas and CHT are new this week. Made the mistake of playing Okunbor (choice over CHT) last week which cost me about 20 places unfortunately.

Made some good choices at the start with Munster, Twal, RTS. Most interested that not having a front line hooker (considering Macca didn't fire) hasn't affected my score to much. Wish I'd started with Farah though.

Had 3 weeks over 900 so far. Hoping to save some trades soon but should probably get Ponga in.

    Good luck to everyone.

    Bully?! Haha

Bateman/Nikora/Capewell/Xerri are my options back there, so Bird was sitting in EMG last week.

Tolman and AFB were also options, but they didn't deliver this round. Tolman had a low scoring round against expectations and AFB got a nice suspension for giving Pearce a facial.
I feel good about the Twal pick

I really want to pick up Twal while he is still at unders and to sure up my FRF stocks but Ponga at his price is also too good to resist. If Twal and Ponga both score 55 this week Twal will be 725K+ and Ponga will be around 685. I think if i pick up twal this week I will still be able to grab Ponga next week. Who would be more of an urgent in??

Depends who you are playing at WFB?

If you have one of Sivo or Rava, or another underperforming player then he would be more important maybe.

I've wanted Twal for a couple of weeks but there have always been more important trades (and that will probably continue this week as well)

At this current point and time i have Teddy, Hughes, CNK but Hughes would be the one making way for Ponga/Twal. I don't think I have the funds elsewhere to fund it. I guess I am also a bit scared if Fifi spends some time on the side that Tolman and Haas would be my FRF.

    HI Guys

Into my third season of NRL fantasy, and I regular reader of this thread, Have had a fairly good start to the year, sitting just inside the top 1000, with two 900+ scores in a row.

Currently my team is this, have 1 trade left this week after going Bird to Haas.

    Cook (C)
    Fifita, Vaughan
    Arrow, Murray, Garner
    Cleary, Morgan
    Nikora, Xerri
    RTS, CNK, Rapana

    Rein, Mahoney, Lawrie, Haas
    Burr, CTH, Ravalawa, Mikaele

    Have $198 ITB

    Options:

Option 1: Mahoney - Bateman (Centres set/Forget) 25K left over
    Option 2: Mahoney - Ponga - 143 left over
Option 3: Mikaele - Sele (or another cow)

How much more money do you think is left to squeeze out of Mahoney? I think this week could be too early to move him on?

Would take any other suggestions to strengthen my team. I don't see why everyone is down on Murray, as it stands I would still call him a keeper.

    Getting rid of Hughes??

That seems harsh I reckon, but hey if you're super keen on one of those two then cool.

Haas and Tolman would be scary, it's what I'm looking at this week as well.
It doesn't scare me as much as playing Edwards/Rava/Sivo thoygh

Now that i look into it I am really scared off Tolman being in my team. Other than last week due to injury affecting the interchange Tolman is only averaging 51.25 minutes. Maybe the 74 minutes was an outlier due to injury. I guess he plays RD 12 so should be a hold till then.

i'm giving him one more game, if it's just more of the same on Friday, his new name will be Alex Twal
