Thing with Macca is your only getting what you pay for, if you trade him you need to make sure you get those constant 50 points at a cheaper rate.

I dont think he will hold his Origin spot, QLD will go with
    1 Ponga
    6 Munster
    7 DCE
    9 Hunt
    14 Morgan

Wouldn’t be looking too much at rankings right now. Most will drop further in rankings tomorrow as many will have DBrown in 17 this week. Therefore a lot of 18th man scores coming in tomorrow and suspect a lot will have Big Fifi too...

895 with Garner and Sivo to play.  Still dropping ranks, brutal.  Somehow a Sivo hatty would be wonderful.

Haas and Carty in the EMG also sucks.

Not having Bateman is hurting me. I am on 887 with Garner and Twal to go so can't complain too much but I can't see myself rising too much in the rankings.

Oh so it will get worse, gotcha.  True though my 895 includes Xerri's score which isn't counted yet.

I thought if you had Brown in 17 it was already counting your 18th score, it was for me before

You're right, I am happy with how I went this weekend. I guess I am looking at my H2Hs which I look like I might lose a couple thanks to Bateman.

I don't know about others but I am not too worried about the rankings this week.
I feel it's more important about setting up for the coming weeks with the right players/earners and going from there.
900 with Garner and Sivo to come, what ever happens so be it

Don't want to do anything drastic and burn trades going sideways or upgrading too early chasing a few extra points at the expense of value/price rises.
It's a balancing act and easy to hit mid season and run out of trade options when you haven't generated the cash early.

So will stick to the game plan and take each week as it comes and back myself to make up ground later

I agree, i look at rankings but i more focus on if i am making ground or losing ground to pos 1 and if i look like i will make more ground in the coming weeks.

I have a live ranking of 4k at the moment which isnt great but i really like the look of my side. Will bring in xerri this week for cash but everyone else looks like a hold and plan for rd 12.

My biggest part of the puzzle i need to solve is how to go from Rein/Mahoney to Cook/Smith/Farah

I'm 874 with Niukore and Garner to go, so looking 950+. Should have used Haas over Ah Mau (20 points), but can't be too unhappy with a 40.

Agree re Macca, no point trading him now unless you can get a replacement who will average 50 in the 500k-600k mark.

Getting Ponga in this week was a good choice, C on Bateman also cheer

Xerri for me next week too and should help part of that Rein to Cook puzzle you have in a few weeks fingers crossed.
Same reason I brought in CHT this week, got to work out how you make that next jump and plan a few weeks ahead

People thinking Macca to Cook not a worthwhile trade?
