I really want Bateman but I think the smart play is to build up the bank to trade Capewell to Bateman when Graham returns. Trying to resist the urge to trade one of my guns for him.

If people get Cleary now whats the plan over origin. From memory Cleary had some really dud scores over the origin period. Assuming he gets picked!

I think end game Halves of DCE and Ponga and WFB of RTS Tturbo Teddy is the play.

I think endgame is maybe DCE and SJ in the halves with Ponga 14-17 but allowing Hlf/Wfb cover.
Ideal post bye squad probably something like
Cook
Fifita Taupau
Taumalolo, JTrbo, Crichton (or whoever the boom 2rf is)
DCE SJ
Nikora Bateman
Ted, TTrbo, RTS
CS9, Farah, McInnis, Ponga
Twal, CTR cover, cheapie, loop
With that setup you'll also be able to loop one of your up-and-down backs with a solid scoring forward. However it's probably pretty impossible to achieve with limited trades.

Fuck. All these good scores and I’m stuck on a lousy 860 with Twal, Garner and Sivo to come. Sivo for 80

754/14c
Farah, Garner, Mahoney remaining so could scratch around 900 if im lucky.
Fuck sakes. Usually this would be a good enough score to hold my rank and with Farah still to play i might move back up a little but started this round at 1850 overall. Now sitting around 5300. So many monster scores from people this week. Oh well. The season isnt decided in a week.

Taking a stab with no maths behind it -
Hughes/Arrow and Kahu/Garrick to Bateman and Cashie (Lomax pending TLT).
Going to be hard to drop Arrow with no James but then again I thought no Wallace would help his output too.
Might use this week to build a bank. Fk off kahu and Garrick finally for Whitbread and Lomax if he’s going to play

Lawrie, twal
garner, murray, arrow
Morgan, CHT,
Bateman, Nikora
Hughes, CNK, Rava,
Rein, McCullogh, Mahoney, Brown
Capewell, AFB, Haas, Carty $182itb
any suggestions?

rhinoceroo wrote:Theoreritically if you were to shore up your halves with a keeper and could afford anyone other than DCE, do you go:
1) ARey - round 12, scoring solidly but not amazingly and made of glass.
2) SJ - finding his feet with the Sharks, not kicking goals for some reason (injury questions).
3) Munster - involved in everything and can score in all categories. Storm have an easy run. State of Origin cert.
4) Ponga - At a discount and huge scores, but could be a waste to play at half. Origin cert.
5) Cleary - Slight discount, former gun but probable Origin, Maloney takes half his scoring opportunities and Penrith suck.
Leaning towards Munster but the Ponga FOMO is strong.
*edit* Actually, I could afford DCE if I went Rava to Lomax instead of Xerri as initially planned. So suppose the supplementary question is DCE & Lomax (bench cow) or Munster/Ponga/SJ/ARey/Cleary & Xerri (bench cow).
I would rank the top 3:
(1) Ponga - back at f/b & gk & he's in great form
(2) Cleary - has the gk back so his groin must be sweet, looks to be getting back to his best & he outscored DCE this round
(3) Munster - I own him & he's been very consistent. Not much between him & Cleary but Cleary gk has the edge

I was super impressed with Finchy cracking the 1k mark but you could potentially score another 100 points & get somewhere close to 1050. That is awesome DK.

Re: NRL Fantasy 2019 Part 36
Huge weekend for me. Bought my first place so moved in Friday Saturday and then my birthday today so loys of entertaining so I wasn’t online for the Pongarail Party. Bittersweet considering my knights were pathetic
Picking James over Cleary this week could not have gone worse. Trade wasted and given the other players involved it’s cost me about 80 points.
841 C, Garner and Mahoney to go so should crack 900 but rank dropping this week I’d say sadly
I’ve had no luck at all with injuries this season so fingers crossed that turns. Not sure on trades this week so will be on here for some help for sure!

It's just speculation that he'll get a starting spot for his goal kicking after Lafai nearly cost them the game.
I don't think there's been anything to suggest he'll actually get a start.
