My gut says he will be a like for like Burr/Garner - solid respectable scores with a bit of cash generated. If he can't crack your bench this week or the next though he's likely not worth getting. Remember in a few weeks Garner, Burr and Lawrie will all be on the way out so Sutton could fill in for rd 12 with some upside.

Problem is those guys haven't peaked and Sutton probably only has 100/110k left in him as is........... If you can upgrade Rava/Garrick/Sivo maybe to him then good move but any of the Garner/other guys is likely sideways unless the cash is put to good use. I know I'm contemplating a Macca to Cook funded by my bank and Garner to Sutton. Gets me a keeper and more cash. I'm like 5k short of Rava to Sutton (stupid falcon try).

    Hey lads, I'll throw my team up;

    Macca
    Fifi Taupau
    Murray Arrow Bateman
    Morgan Carty
    Capewell Xerri
    Sivo CNK Ponga

    Rein Garner Lawrie Haas

    Nikora Burns CHT Rava

25 trades and 268K ITB. My plan last week was to go Macca to Cook which can be done in a single trade, now I'm not sure if that's the smartest thing for the long run. Maybe should get Teddy or Cleary instead. But Cook is Cook.

I agree with this. Not sure what the fuss is about. has seen the change of role, but the numbers aren't that good. Got the try assisted decent score, but beyond that he's only a temp fill at this stage.

I've got enough to get me through this week and whilst it means I have to play CHT and Sivo, any trades can be luxury. It also means I can get a double loop look at Burr and CHT thanks to Brown and Nikora.

Might just save the trades and milk some more out of Rava who should get his BE of 20 (given his average of 27).

Wasn’t mentioned in TLT, but 2 very interesting benches in Guler and Murchie this week for the raiders.

Quite surprised to see them there with the raiders doing so well but there’s some long-term Tapine minutes up for grabs and with the move strong this week for Sutton, worth considering both these boys have a bit about them and could take the step up! (And steal some minutes). They should both be much better than Young and Collins, and with Dunamis Lui up front you’d suspect if either of them goes enormous they could become a lovely R12 playing cashout

I had a bit of a look at potential round 12 players, and there's not much to write home about.
My main target would be Tolo in the coming weeks, he'll drop just below 800 after his first game back.

Cook over Macca should net you 10-15 points a week for ROS. Both play origin so no difference there.
Cleary should also net you 10-15 points a week over Carty. Tedesco/RTS is also in the same boat over Sivo.

Personally I think you are weakest at half and Cleary has the most money in him in terms of getting away from you but you are 3k short of Burns to Cleary...... and 41k short of

    Bank (268k) + Macca (683k) + Burns (422k) = 1,373k
    Tedesco + Cleary = 1,414k

I like the idea of getting a gun but its going to be sideways unless you grab Cook. Anything else while it will help balance is a gut call. Macca averages near Cleary / Tedesco and bumping Rein into hooker means you have to play Carty or CHT anyway (at least until Nikora is back next week).

Personally my gut says back Cleary to put on 100k and strengthen your halves but Cook is Cook. Also loophole Sivo/Rava in the meantime at WFB until you get your next cash.

Hey Wolfy, I'm no expert, but in my humble opinion your team's obvious weakness is WFB - Macca is plodding along yes, but not losing cash, and Cook can wait a week. I'd be grabbing Teddy while he's bottomed out. Just an opinion.

I would wait a round to see how Tolo goes before trading him in, his Break Even is 80-ish

Was wondering what happened to Guler, he was in and out of my pre-season team but dumped at first TLT. Looks big and keen, I thought with the Raiders kicking their big boppers out he'd get some bench minutes at least. The start to the season has been great for the Green Machine, but having some up front grunt never got astray.

Thanks mate. Your thoughts and analysis is always very insightful and most welcome. I did notice I was 3K short on Burns to Cleary which is annoying. I feel I need Cook, but as you say the money on the halves or backs probably makes more sense at the moment. I'm spewing I sold Mahoney a few weeks back, was even thinking Macca to Mahoney and Burns to Cleary/Munster/Ted but that's probably not really necessary. Running just Rein at hooker scares me to be honest.

I’d be looking at Cleary or teddy mate. You can bring in Farah in 2 weeks as a pseudocook until after origin and get him then unless a good opportunity pops up before then when you cash out a cow or two

Cool is essential at some point obviously but there are a number of good captain options this year, which you already have 2

Which one out of the two though is tough. You have a loop for the WFB and Cleary is cheaper so maybe go that one first

Thanks mate. You're right, I probabshould be more sensible and look where I need to improve my team. Macca got 55 with no real attacking stats so not all bad. Thanks for your thoughts.
