Cool is essential at some point obviously but there are a number of good captain options this year, which you already have 2

Which one out of the two though is tough. You have a loop for the WFB and Cleary is cheaper so maybe go that one first

Thanks mate, appreciate the thoughts. Jumped on Cleary the back end of last year and he was awesome. Makes sense to get the bottomed out guns now and aim for the Cook's later I guess.

For those playing the Cartwright v CHT roulette, I think this week is a #CartyParty - mainly based on opposition:

Carty - 45 last week, up against Tigers and has actually shown some consistency recently with last 3 round average of 38
CHT - 34 last week, Green is back and up against Storm in Melbourne on ANZAC day, which scares the life out of me.Last 3 round average of 44

How much should I upset team balance and unpeaked cash cows in the name of getting Bateman?

Thinking of going Sivo to Will Kennedy so I have the cash to go Garner to Bateman next week.

Is it worth getting rid of people's before they've peaked and plays Round 12 so I can get a must have?

I think Sivo will get a lot out of Mondays game.  I'm happy to hold for the time being.  Will K looks good but may only get another week or two.

I'm actually looking at Corey Allen.  30 something last week without a try so maybe he's getting more confidence.  Spot looks secure and plays 12.

Ah he is a gun keeper and it really shouldn’t matter when, as the boat is completely missed in getting Bateman at his cheapest (or near enough to it).

Moving mountains to get him in will feel good after he’s in but I’m now getting cold feet myself on dropping both Hughes (decent DPP) AND Garner to get him.

He may just be that one that eludes me all season unless I get an injury to a gun.

Got Allen in sc and might do the same for NRLF. Allows me to turn Burns into Cleary and fix up my half spot and not needing to play Carty/CHT roulette.

Rava to Allen seems to tick all the boxes really.

We assuming Allen keeps his spot when Burns is back? Don’t see why not with GI gone too but worth questioning

Not sure who it was but same here. If he hits his 46 average he doesn't even go up $20k. Hasn't topped out yet, but pretty close if you need some milk

If you have other areas to worry about you may as well save a trade on him. Cows getting some consistency back and Tolo could do their confidence the world a good. Morgan seems to have scrapped the whole (let’s get Clifford involved) thing and decided to do everything himself now. Morgan is also the type of player who could step up to 50 avg at any time. He is not a sell just yet.

Canberra fullback Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad's injured right knee has responded to treatment well and he expects to line up against Manly on Sunday.
Nicoll-Klokstad faced the media on Tuesday with only a compression garment on his right leg, saying scans revealed no serious damage after the incident.
"I'm pretty confident I'll be playing. It's getting better every day and I was able to do squats and lunges today so it's good.

Kind of went over everyone’s head but there is a player at 18th man for the sharks, Ronaldo Mulitalo. He is expected to have his contracted upgraded to a top 30 contract and expected to be a late in for the Sharks this weekend. He was named in the QLD emerging camp this year and plays Centre. Earmarked as one of the future of QLD players.

If I'm trading him I know I'm losing around 40k of slow gains so if I'm bringing in Sutton who'll likely only make 110k with similar scores it's super sideways. This week I'll trade him to Smith cause:

    - I need some milk for that to happen
    - I don't see him in the keeper tier of halves
    - Will be in the Origin team and thus not playing rd 12
    - Excluding boom games I see a season average of 40-42. Without LoLo I don't see the boom games coming soon and if he's not going boom I'm better off leaving his 35-45 point range
    - Defences key in as he's basically singled out as their attacking threat. I'm impressed he has done as much as he already has.
    - Carty and CHT offer similar returns for less
    - His scores are worrying. Last week a 40/20 and FG along with 459 kicking metres gave 31 of his 45 points. Where would 10 points a week improvement come from. The cows aren't exactly a super potent offensive team now but its a lot to ask a guy already doing everything to do more.

I've no doubt he can prove me wrong as I believe he is a player of that calibre and I would actually enjoy watching Morgan shred teams apart but without hindsight I just don't see it. A calculated risk to get rid of him now for sure but one that could pay off if you make the right moves.

tempted to throw the C on Arrow this week, think he'll be asked to step up his game big-time in James' absence

His minutes are all over the place. He may get those minutes this week, and agree he needs to step up now with James out, but even when he played 70minutes on the weekend he only got 46.

Perhaps workload was down because they flogged the Knights, but his tackles were the most all season and in fact his attacking stats were down. Think he's too hard to pick, so it's a no from me.

If no Cook or Smith. Fifi and Batman are right up there as safe options
