Wont Cleary be cheaper after Origin going off last season. His scores really dropped backing up. Once Origin was over he finished the season strongly

Great win the pending premiers. Good, gutsy stuff against a good team who played their guts out. Lots of mistakes, but a high intensity game. The Panthers will sneak into the 8. Kikau is a beast. 6 wins from 7 to the Rabbits. I’ll take it.

Well, JFH was a little underwhelming, but I sort of expected that against Souths. He had 38 a few weeks back as well and I knew that. I certainly did my research. He tries too hard against the better teams, but you can’t deny his work rate....it’s his MTs and mistake rate that fucks him. He hits hard out of the line and first up, then falls off, but the runner is stopped. He’s not a flopper. He’ll average 53 for the year and play 12. Plus he’s durable.

@mattnz If you’d have said that he made mistakes you’d have a point, but the ENTIRE basis of your argument was minutes played. And he just played 80 again. 7 weeks running. So you’re wrong there. He’ll be up and down in points, but he’s a keeper reserve. As for Aekin, I was spruking him up three weeks ago, as I have done a few times this year. I said Edwards would be dropped and got bagged, but I was right. You had a little dig for bringing in JFH because you said he was overvalued.....yet you bring in a rookie priced at almost $600k, who didn’t hit his BE, so I’ll look at him for a few more weeks, after I’ve done my research  Laughing

I’m up at 3am, so c ya’s. Up the Bunnies.

Yes I agree re: JFH. Some of the miss tackles he gets pinged for are a bit harsh.
I noticed the same thing with Bird. Bird will make the initial stop, then another player comes in to join the tackle and Bird lets go and runs back into the defensive line and gets pinged for a miss tackle

No he doesn't. I explained this a fair few pages ago. TS's have, I repeat HAVE been awarded to defenders that have stopped tries from the field of play.

Indeed, but they are quite rare and they seem to pick and choose which ones get awarded.

Origin also timed with him returning from injury, and Maloney did a lot of the kicking over those few weeks. It's hard to say how much of his low scores was origin fatigue, and how much was injury

    Well my 2 trades were:
Ravalawa out - Whitbread in &
    L. Lewis out - Cleary in

I'm not impressed with my Cleary trade. I could of got CHT & would of been laughing. If I feel in the trade rage mood after lock out I might even sell Cleary after 1 game & buy CHT. And if I'm still raging after that I might boot Cook as well. I agree with the previous poster who wrote yes he's scooting from dummy half & instead of going for it he's passing before the line.
I'll have to play Whitbread due to Garner being out & I'm hoping he'll do a CHT & score me a 50.
    Currently 350/6 (c) played.
Also a big shout out to Bethany_B who captained Munster who absolutely kicked Cooks ass.

Hi all, sadly haven't had much time for fantasy but somehow treading water in rankings at moment.

Ended up trading in Whitbread and Xerri this week, but not sure who out of these two to play as last reserve? Gut says Whitbread

Me too. Munster my top scorer so far.

Even though I'm not too happy with some of my team selections that faded after mighty Liverpool thrashed Huddersfield 5-0 to go back to 1st. Get in LB.

I feel like selling Cook after one game for Smith haha. Although 47 and he did fuck all. Plus he has himself in his team, surely he's had a wake up call when he checked his score after the game. Laughing

I kept Macca also so I feel like just running with him for a few more weeks yet. You see these sub par scores from some guns, makes me want to hold trades for a couple of weeks if possible and just stick. No fucking point trying to work out the best buy ins. Still got Taupau too. His ass can sit there all season in my team and he can fucking like it, asshole.

Pretty happy with my start to the week. Only real "POD" has been Munster but have managed to avoid the lows with Lawrie and Morgan at 41 my lowest.

Big day today with McCullough, Twal, Fifita(c), Matterson, Arrow, Capewell, Xerri, Haas, Rein all in play

Yeah I'd probably go Whitbread as well. Are you able to & I'll whisper this so Finchy doesn't downvote me loop Xerri v Whitbread.

I triple captained Salah with Mane and Robertson = 84 points for 3. I usually stuff up the triple C so inside the top 3 thousand at this stage.

    I captained Cook as well.

Just noticed Rabbits play Friday night Rd 13 after origin on Wednesday. Against the Knights, so chances of Cook backing up?

Might have to hold Mahoney awhile longer.

If he was to play at all, they will need to have another hooker in the game. He can't play 80 in Origin then 80 again 2 nights later. Bennett is more sensible than that, is used to having to manage having lots of Origin players at Brisbane. He is fortunate at Souths that he doesn't need to deal with many players out for Origin, so can easily cover for him.

Note that last season Cook didn't play round 14 either over that period.

Wouldn't surprise me to see Brittain getting run time ahead of 12 so he gets some time on the park with the team and first grade experience.

Yeah I remembered Cook not backing up for the Friday game vs. Titans last year, so it got me thinking that he's likely to only play 4 of the next 6.

Expected to produce 248 points if averaging 62.

Holding a bye player like Mahoney, he would only need to average ~41 to score the same, at a cheaper price.

It was a lot easier to rest Cook last year with Farah though, so maybe a minutes management thing like you said is more accurate.

Still makes me a bit wary of bringing him in before Rd 13-14 though.
