Hey lads, I'm struggling with my options.

    Macca - Mahoney

    Or

    Garner - Waddell/Flanno/Herrbo
    Macca - Smith

    Dunno what to do.

Mahoney just keeps getting it done, doesn't he. But it feels like we are paying overs bringing him in now.

What’s everyone’s opinion on Anthony Milford? I know he has previously been an inconsistent scorer but this year he looks really good IMO. Not to mention he is only in 2% of teams. Milford’s the go to man for the broncos, his kick meters are insane (gets around 15 points+ a game from kick meters) and the difference between him and say Reynolds are he has a superior running game and can bust some tackles. I think his base stats have been pretty solid. Opinions please? I can get basically any half as I’ve got DCE injured but I have a good feeling about Milford.

If you have a good feeling about Milford then go for it. He's been scoring well enough to be a keeper recently.

The only question would be what impact Dearden has on his scoring. DCE needs to be moved on so you don't get a chance to have a wait and see, have to make a gut feel decision.

I dont know who tf to trade out for garner.. can only get about a max of 730k and idk who to get.. is twal or surgess or sst or afb better options?

Could hold the trade, Garner wouldn't lose that much even if not hitting his 31 BE, and is still a chance of beating it.

I'd definitely look at Sam B, SST and maybe AFB over the others mentioned.

Sam's a proven gun and SST/AFB have been putting up gun scores so far.

Last year SST averaged 39 from ~45 mins. This year his minutes have increased to ~52 and avg 56. May not maintain the 56 avg, but still considered a keeper even if it drops a couple. Doesn't play Rd 12, but not a big deal if getting him as a keeper.

AFB only a 4 game sample this year, so is hard to say if he'll maintain. Averaged 41 last year from 48 mins and averaging 51 in 49.5 mins. So could see him revert back to last year's numbers.

Twal's BE is 54 with a 51 avg and last 2 games hasn't looked as good as before, so could wait and see. Doesn't play Rd 12 and if not a keeper, may need to burn another trade to get rid of him like if you picked up Lawrie or Burr.

I'm still favouring Sam if you need someone for your 17 this week or just hold the trade.

Twal had a similar output as previous weeks the last 2 games, just had extra missed tackles and less run meters against the Eels in the 50+ trouncing. And last game he had a bunch of errors and penalties.

Capewell was a similar story. He had 12 missed tackles instead of his average of 3 missed tackles.

as mentioned before about Surgess, often the base stats remain the same, but the attacking stats and negative stats determine the fantasy output.

Off the Waddell Train for now. Going to double cow it for some cash to get a gun in the next few weeks. The way cows are scoring hoping for some big games. Rava and Whitbred our for Lomax and Dearden. If any news arises that shows Waddell could see big minutes I’ll jump off Lomax and grab him.

Unless there's some big news ahead of lock out - I'm bringing in Mahoney this week (for Garner). Overs vs what he was originally priced at but I think unders for what he'll deliver

Yeah re. Twal, I recommended him to a friend 2 weeks ago, so kinda hesitant to recommend him again, especially as a non-Rd 12 player.

He was off to a flyer vs. Eels, playing the entire first half and into the 2nd, subbed off and expected him to come back, but figured the scoreline made it kind of pointless.

Last week his minutes were back up there, but I was at that game, so wasn't watching him that close. Penalties and errors definitely hurt.

Last year he averaged 39 in 37 mins off the bench. This year he's averaging just over 58 mins, so it's reasonable to expect him to hit that 50+ gun average.

Thanks mate.  That was my first option but then Garner getting benched opened up a potential Smith trade in.

Yeah, it seems he'll be a 50av player.  I sold him for Rein when Peats got hurt and spewing now.  Have no issue bringing him back in to be honest, only my hurt pride.
