    I'm inclined to agree. I've also still got Lawrie and Bird - still some upside there.

    As I mentioned earlier, with the Broncos experimenting in the next couple of weeks with their halves combination (similar to what the Warriors did earlier in the season) it wouldn't be a smart move just to jump on their rookie half especially if things don't go so well (kind of like what happened to Keighran).   Bird is a good backup to have in the 21 for cover (I had to use him because of the Nikora suspension and it turned out to be good move).  Unless you bought Bird when he was already getting expensive, he'd be a better option as a standby centre than Lomax. Imagine Bird ended up playing in the halves with Milf, that DPP could be valuable down the track.

    What trades are they and how much cash will you have left?

    I've gone around in circles this week and changed them a thousand times. What I do this week will define what I do for the next five weeks. I'm concerned I'll still need cash making and currently have:

    Sele -> Lomax
    Burns -> Dearden

    Other trade out options are Kahu, Bird, Lawrie, Garner but I feel they are holds at the moment. Sele may not be back for weeks and Burns could be out another 3 weeks come back and do a Turbo. I've also got serious fear of holding these guys turns into a Nathan Brown situation from last year which I'm loathe to repeat. The above trades clear me 346k for the next two weeks for Lolo, Farah and I don't even fucking have Bateman yet! I could just as easily bank a trade or change Dearden to Waddell, Flannagan or Herbert.

    IMO Kahu is not a hold. The other trade out options (if not all) have more potential in making more money and other uses. Also you don't need to keep Kahu if you're planning on bringing Lomax in anyway for cover.

    I am a little concerned about my Capewell/Garner to Bateman/Dearden. It gives me Bateman who I need and also 229 grand ITB for the coming Lawrie or CHT upgrades but it means I have to play Bird in my 17.

    I just decided to look at the #1 ranked team out of curiosity and couldn’t help but notice, he doesn’t even have Nikora in his squad! Am I looking at the right thing? I find that to be amazing.

    For the sake of good time trivia, couldn’t help noticing the second placed team overall is a lass’ team.

    Anyway, looking at the top teams gave me no lightbulb moment on my shortcomings. Well, couldn’t help but notice that the top 3 teams all have Smith, which I am lacking. Sad

    Anyway, as you were.

    Bateman has a BE of 56 this week so...

    The way I would look at it is if you're planning on playing Capewell/Garner or Bateman/Dearden in your 17, do you think the former duo will be outscored the latter duo that you're planning on bringing in? If not then save your trades in my opinion.

    By the way I think Ponga will score below his BE this weekend against the Warriors so I won't be bringing him in.

    Never understood the Twal hype. Good pick if you started with him but i wouldnt bring him in. Everyone just ignoring the fact he has had extended minutes due to injuries in most of his games

    I know he's shit but he's making more money than Sele and Burns at the moment and he only needs one good score to make some cash. BE only 20. If a goal kicking fullback can't score well against the Titans then yeah it's time to go but he gets one last week for me. It's not about coverage in this instance.

    Well he didn't make it very clear then.  If that's the case I would rather bring in a keeper 2RF for roughly the same price especially since ARey has proven to be injury prone in the last couple of seasons.

    Was perfectly clear bro, unless you are playing a different format?

    If Lomax averages 30 and Flanagan averages 30 they'll both make the same amount of dough over 3 weeks. I suppose you have to decided if Lomax sticks around long term or Flanagan manages to exceed that in the next month

    Cant see it tbh. He hasn't even come close to a score that low since the switch to FB.

    Easy for me to say because I sold Garner last week, but McQueen up for a blinder this week. Might have me a sneaky $20 on him to score a meatie.
