Even though the banner boy hasn't really been spoken about this week, just keep in mind, a certain Bulldogs player last year scored 101 causing a mass trade in. (well, decent amount of teams traded him in, especially yours truely.) Got -1 the next week and struggled to hit 40 for the rest of the year.

I think after that, and him being a QLDer, might have to bite the bullet and get him back in.  I've always had a rule that once I trade a player out he's done no matter what, but I think I have to make an exception for this kid.  He's Jake Friend 2.0.  Plays round 12 too, but means missing Smith in the short term.

Yep, we all know a little smart arse prick that looks a bit like him, but he was awesome.  Same as Okunbar last week.  For all the dicks we have in our game it's great to see these young blokes coming through.

It would be just like Farah to stop scoring well after everyone traded him in

I don't want to sell Cook, but ditching him now allows me to do all sorts of nice things going forward:

    Rein
    Fifita, Taupau
    Murray, Crichton, Arrow
    Morgan, Wighton
    Bateman, Nikora
    Ponga, Ted, CNK

    Mahoney, Surgess, Haas, Burr

    CHT, Carty, Sivo, Lomax

Burr/CHT to Lolo/Cheapie and a Morgan downgrade for cash would be my only planned trades pre-byes, leaving me with 19. Then Rein/Mahoney to Smith/McInnis, a Sivo downgrade, two halve upgrades, cash out the pre-bye cheapies, CNK to RTS, Surgess to a Round 16 gun. Then Cook back after Origin and trades in the bank. That's the plan, now to watch form and injuries tear it apart.

There is a good chance that Deardon goes well.....but looking at your team just reminded me that Borris existed!! WTF happened there, wasn't it supposed to be two weeks?

I don't have Cook, but I wouldn't be selling him. Am I missing something? He's averaging 62. Now I traded him out before origin last year and as it turns out, that went quite well. And may be a good play again this year. But WAY too premature in round 8 imo.

Yeah, I'd prefer not to, but I will be trading before Origin for sure and don't think I'll be losing anything over next four rounds while my target prices are trending up and my sell prices are trending down. I could wait another week or two but there's a fair chance that if I do then won't be able to afford the moves I want.

Also, I've obviously watched Cook carefully (he's been Captain every week) and while he's still a gun, he's not the ubergun he was last year... whether through the Souths play-the-balls being slower with the twins playing shit, or a greater instinct to put the ball on his boot rather than run, or defences backing off him so he passes before the line the huge tear-up plays are just not happening. (Obviously he'll score 100 against the Broncs now.)

I'm close to going Garner to Bateman and Morgan to Pearce (almost a straight swap).

I think Garner will continue to score well and make money however I've been regretting not bringing Bateman in since week 1 and Garner is my best upgrade option.

If Pearce was playing Rd 12, the trade would be locked in. I think Pearce is going to start firing and getting back to old form and he's at a great price at the moment.

I'm coming somewhere in the 4000's so have to take a few risks to catchup.

Yeah, although Cook's averaging 61, I've been disappointed from a captaincy point of view - particularly since he was an absolute premium price at the start of the season. I was really hoping he'd continue pumping out massive scores and I could set and forget him as a captain.
