    Yeah, although Cook's averaging 61, I've been disappointed from a captaincy point of view - particularly since he was an absolute premium price at the start of the season. I was really hoping he'd continue pumping out massive scores and I could set and forget him as a captain.

    Couldn't you just put the C on someone else?

    I could, but my point was I paid a premium for him at the beginning of the season, foolishly expecting him to post massive scores and I wouldn't have to worry about playing the captaincy lottery each week. Should have gone with Smith and continued with the saying 'Always captain Smith!'

    Who would you rather trade in: Mahoney/Pearce or CS9/Cow?

    No position covering issues.

    If you need to fill your halves, Mahoney Pearce.

    Pearce is at a discount and Mahoney look legit.

    Those who have put the C on cook from the start going with him again vs the Broncos? I'm tempted to give Batman the C over cook this round.

    Depends on the make up of the rest of your team. Pearce is at a great price but doesn't play Rd 12. Smith doesn't either. Smith's always going to be a great trade in if you can afford it though.

    I'm one of those people. You know the time you don't put the C on him he will score a ton!

    It doesn't matter. I haven't picked the right captain all season. It's uber frustrating.

    Only one trade this week for me. Capewell out for a keeper who plays 12

    Choosing between Martin and Taupau

    Martin cheaper, at a discount from his true value but a BE of 61

    Taupau has done well last week after reduced minutes and output overall. Slight discount, slightly higher ceiling

    Upvote for Martin, downvote for Kapow

    Thanks guys

    Very true. Other game under 50 this season the following week he scored 70.

    With Cook, I think if you've Captained him all year you've actually done better than it feels.  I paid the premium so I wouldn't have to worry about spinning the roulette wheel every week.  It actually has pretty much paid off.

    Cook is the 5th highest scorer thus far.  DCE and Cam are both not even half a point better; Bateman and Fifi around 1.5 points better.  The amount of people who would have Captained Bateman all year would be miniscule, and I doubt any serious players would have been that brave Round 1.  Not that many more for DCE from Round 1 I wouldn't think.  Fifi had the injury scare, and I know a few kept the faith, but a lot would have taken the armband off him for at least that Round.

    So Cam, Cook, and to a lesser degree Fifi would be the 3 that most people may have Captained all year.  Between Cam and Cook there is just over 1 point difference over the ENTIRE 7 Rounds (not each Round, just over 1 point gain through the whole freaking lot).  So I'd call that evens.  Fifi for the 7 Rounds has gained you an extra 10 points in total over the entire 7 Rounds.  10 points is nominal, but yeah, it's still an extra 10 points.

    Then there are probably 3 generic scenarios for those who have played Captain's Roulette:
    -they chose the right C every week and could be 100 or more points to the better;
    -they chose wrong every week and are 100 or more points worse off;
    -they had a mix and are roughly no better or worse off.
    No idea how you could even suggest a percentage of those who did the above, but I haven't seen a single person say they have got the C right every week on here, which could loosely be extrapolated to the general Fantasy community (no doubt there would be the rare few who have jagged it).

    For me, I'm glad I have stuck with Cook.  My hair has really started thinning lately and deciding a C on Thursday arvo's won't help.  (The good thing I have found about thinning hair though is when it's a grey one that falls out never to grow back then it's a small victory each and every time  cheer  )

    Happy for my maths to be destroyed here if there is something I have glaringly missed, it's never been my strong point. Naturally people have different combos of players, so this would be in a perfect world where you have all of those in your team to choose from.  And naturally there are other high scorers for a Round outside these 5  flower

    TL;DR: Yes we wanted more, but Cook has still been a great C option; personally I am finding picking and sticking a balanced reward; and getting old sucks.

    I really want RTS, but I'm nervous about his hammy injury. Might just bite the bullet and hope for the best

    If you’re not trading a late Round player for him then maybe try and FanHub proof it. If you are just doing the 1 trade this week that might reduce the chances of not being able to Reverse if need comes through Fri/ Sat that RTS is out again.

    I do think some of the reversing issues come from people not selecting the actual trade line they want to reverse, so user error. But it’s still a worry that a few people are not able to reverse mid round.

    Have to double trade unfortunately. My original aim for this week was to single trade Macca to cleary, but was 2k short. If I have to cash someone out then I would rather bring in RTS.

    Looking at Macca to Dearden and Hughes to RTS. Hughes is the latest playing of the players I'm willing to trade out
