If you intentionally try to smash someone high to get them off for a HIA the defender is probably likely to get sinbinned (like Michael Jennings did in R1) so it's a pretty dumb tactic.

JWH was lucky not to be sinbinned himself - you can see him pause before hitting Ponga late

After a read of a Raiders forum I'm more comfortable playing H. Young. Comments suggest:
    (a) Ricky likes playing his edge backrowers for 80 minutes
    (b) Tapine the next 2 games will play in the middle as he regains match fitness. He will start off the bench this week but when J. Papalii is away re origin he'll start in round 12.

Not entirely, if it is done well enough to remove a player for the rest of the game. And the sinned binned player returns.

I was aiming for Reynolds in Round 12 because it is looking increasingly likely Cleary retains his spot but now I wonder if that's the cliché move and a POD gun HLF in Round 16 could be the difference maker.

A Johnson, Milford or Pearce to set yourself apart although the latter is probably fairly popular at this point. Heck even Luke Brooks has scored 50+ in 5 of his last 6 games (Albeit with 2 tries).

I don't know. There's certain Round 12 guns you have to own like Lolo simply because you don't want to miss the points but should I choose Reynolds over other appealing options? Not sure about that.

It’s quite a clear tactic to take out Ponga the last 10 months or so IMO. Lewis for the sharks last year barely tried hiding it, one in the manly game earlier in the season, and last night

If you think that wasn’t an intentional late hit and he couldn’t pull out you’re having a laugh. Wasn’t particularly high or a send off etc but a penalty for sure and exactly what halves and most people watching the game want rubbed out

I didn't think the hit itself was too bad, but JWH was intentionally trying to crush his head when they hit the ground.

There was an incident in the 1st half where JWH gave Ponga a facial for an extended time and looked like the refs weren't going to blow the penalty until it went on for so long and Roosters defence was well and truly set.

JWH is just one of those low intellect meatheads that sees a kid that was a bigger star in 2-4 games for the Cowboys than JWH will ever be and thinks he needs to go out there and knock him down a few pegs with illegal tactics.

Don't need fuckwits like him in the sport. Should be off shoveling shit somewhere.

380 from 7. Buying gutho a few weeks ago was my only regret..knew he didn't suit NRL fantasy (does well in SC) but rushed him in FFS. Moses captain didn't pan out great either..

Who are some potential bottomed out players you could trade in next round?
Was thinking tapine sub 500k may be interesting till round 16?
Hess and kikau both leaked heaps of cash and could go on a run for a month. That's if Hess doesn't make origin.

Dedwards, fergo, Brimson all have leaked heaps of cash too.
    Taylor cotric mansour

I think I'm going to bring in a couple of these guys, with a couple cows and hope they go boom before Rd 16 for guys like Farah Johnson etc. Fallen guns and bye round numbers the only hope as I'm languishing around the 12k ranks Sad

Hurts not having Teddy. Will be grabbing him for 13 Shocked hopefully RTS can get a 50-60 to ease my pain. Only 184/3 and falling, end of round results will be very interesting

Smash him legally instead of trying to high shot him after hes kicked it then go after him on the ground with your head like a fkn billy goat.

Absolute grub, give the cunt 2 weeks with carry overs from last week against the broncos where he was doing the same thing.

@4:40, getting carved up by haas so he does this...

I love how JWH plays. Every team needs a grub. Nothing wrong with the hit. Perfectly legit. If you kick at the line, you risk this. He was committed to the tackle and it wasn’t high. Got his head in the wrong spot. It’s a contact sport. Happens every game, every week. Ponga isn’t a protected species. Too many soccer players commentating on the game these days.
