Your lot should win next year considering the majority of the QLD squad will be eligible for a seniors card come game 1 next year.

I wonder if there is a seniors discount in the salary cap.

He's running while the going is still good. Michael Clarkes dog could have coached that team to 8 in a row.

NSW should sign up Clarkies dog as coach then.

You may not have noticed but NSW doesn't have that team.

If Clarkies dog coached the NSW side their kick chases would be Thurston like.

    Close enough.

Why's that? He could get an assistant coaching job for the Roos.

I do think Mal's role at the Maroons is overstated but he's got the wins to back it up - no proof that he is or isn't a good coach until he coaches other teams. Will be interesting

You wont here a QLDer admit Mal can't coach and is nothing more than a figure head to wheelchair out in front of the fans and do media with the airs and graces of Tommy Raudonikis

It's the unspoken truth everyone knows. That why there is a number of people supporting Gus when he has come out and said it's a joke what they are paying Mal to coach the Roos

Mal Meninga has a better winning percentage in his 126 club games than the following coaching "greats":
    Tim Sheens
    Don Furner
    Frank Stanton
    Arthur Beetson

And better than the following coaches who were well regarded at times:
    Ivan Cleary
    Ricky Stuart
    Daniel Anderson
