Re: QLD Maroons
We have plenty of options still, even Mbye as utility and Morgan at FB.

Sorry sorry knew I forgot someone. Gagai in the centres in place of Morgan.

Boyd at FB means your most potent attacking weapon is negated. The GI to Boyd fall over the line is something that has terrorised NSW for a decade. Moving away from that is what NSW want. Boyd is safe as houses so he won't do anything wrong. He just doesn't have that fear level that a roaming GI has.

Nobody finishes like Boyd. How could you take him off the wing ? I Guess if Feldt can score them we will all have to agree he's just a flop over the line merchant on the end of the best backline in a decade

I'd be worried about Oates on the wing, he's the best finisher in the NRL at the moment, along with Semi and Rona.

GI is being negated just about every week at club level, his injuries are holding him back, i honestly believe he is more likely to impact origin at centre where he isn't needed to be on the move constantly

There's a certain group of people that lift around that time, Gallen/Myles/GI/Pieday. Guys that are 75% at club level and 100% come Origin time.

lol boyd was kissed on the dick by the footy gods and put on the left wing for QLD.
Literally 80% of the wingers in the NRL could have done what he has over the last decade

Adam Mogg was a world beater in origin. I reckon Costigan and Myles take the cake though. I remember a mate making the point to me a few years ago - If you're picking a club team, who do you want in your side, Costigan or Creagh? How about if you're picking an origin team?

Club team - geez, do I have to take ONE of them? Can I captain/coach from the bench?

haha. This was in about 2009 when Creagh was a good wide running second rower, not an ordinary prop.

Its a fair point though. Some players just flick a switch in Origin.
Ash Harrison is another. I never really rated him as much chop but cant deny his reliability in origin - must have played a dozen games at lock.

Considering NSW will probably have Klemmer on the bench and maybe Fafita as well, and the likes of Woods and Gallen starting, then probably both benches will have more impact that large parts of the starting packs.

Re: QLD Maroons
Is a great bench, despite Thaiday playing pretty average he always steps up for Origin. Myles starting the game is the right call considering how out of form he is, he wouldn't offer anything off the bench.
