Probably just going Dearden > SJ this week (may also flick Hutchison for a base price R16 player if he isn't named)

Leaves me with 10-11 this week (hopefully), and 7 trades. My team is not great, so I'm hoping to hold some trades for late rounds in case of injury when others have run out.

    Smith
    Fifita, Haas
    Taumalolo, Taupau, Murray
    Pearce, Reynolds
    Bateman, Nikora
    Tedesco, RTS, CNK

    McInnes, Twal, SJ, Mahoney,
    Xerri, C. Thompson, Hutchison, Brittain

Will likely bring in Burns next week for one of Xerri, Thompson or CNK. Would be nice to get Ponga back, or TTurbo, but just can't see where I find the funds.

Fuck me what a weekend. Went up 60 odd ranks but my tipping was horrid! Haven't been on all weekend so is there something crucial I missed.

If the long term option is confirmed, definitely

The short term option was still 1-2 weeks.

The actual severity of the injury was unknown at the time of posting.

    Doesn't sound good though.

    (Round) (Currently)
    17. Tigers (9th)

    19. Warriors (12th)
    20. Dragons (10th)
    21. Knights (5th)
    22. Titans (15th)
    23. Bulldogs (16th)
    24. Broncos (14th)
    25. Sea Eagles (6th)

You couldn't ask for a better draw as they play none of the top 4 in Storm, Roosters, Rabbitohs or Raiders and not even Sharks (who I think at full strength is a big danger in this comp).

I'm having a lot of trouble in figuring out which 2 gun halves that I want in my final 17 this year as I can't settle on any of them yet with confidence, but now I wonder that this draw for the Eels should lead me to pick Mitch Moses as one of the halves.
I'll think about it for the next couple of days, but I figured that I'm not the only one having trouble with the halves and this might be something to think about.

I checked out Moses scores this year to test out the theory.

    17. Tigers (9th) scored 97 in rnd 6
    18. Sea Eagles (6th)
    19. Warriors (12th)
    20. Dragons (10th) 39 in rnd 8
    21. Knights (5th) 34 in rnd 7
    22. Titans (15th)
    23. Bulldogs (16th) 50 in rnd 2
    24. Broncos (14th) 71 in rnd 14
    25. Sea Eagles (6th)

    top 4
    Storm 39 in rnd 9,
    Roosters 30 in rnd 3,
    Rabbitohs 80 in rnd 12
Raiders 29 in rnd 5 and 65 in rnd 15
    Sharks 80 in rnd 4 and 55 Rnd 13

Can't see any obvious trend based on the opponents position on the table. But as someone alluded to before, Moses base stats have improved this year so he is a good pick up irrespective of the opponents (unless Eels were playing Roosters or Storm every week)

Barry Toohey said Moga is doing media today for the first time this season, which would suggest he is the one to come into the Knights side.

Bellyache reckons he wants to use Pap as a super sub and keep Hughes at FB. Means C.Johns or B.Walters likely comes in.

Walters didn't play for Easts last week, which doesn't confirm anything, but suggests Bellamy was getting him ready for Storm.

Bugger. I was looking at him as a keeper. I might bring in Coates and bank some dollarydoos.

Pre-TLT I’m looking at Sivo/Havili -> SJ/CM9. Eats up the bank, but the trades look good. Leaves me with 7.

I’ve tossed up shifting Murray, Mahoney and CNK.... but given the dire stocks of WFBs, CNK is a useful 18. And Mahoney is a good young player, hitting form in a team that should finish strongly. Murray is closest to boot, but there aren’t too many 2RFs I’d prefer in my final 17. Basically just Jurbo and Brown. Tevaga tempting, but Kearny is weird. Twal tempting but doesn’t seem to go boom. RyMatt looks good, but it feels like paying overs for the same.

Eh. Hold 2 trades unless TLT is fun.

    Only have 6 trades left.

I'm starting with CNK + Havili to RTS + SJ.
Probably bring in at least 1 cashie (Coates if no one better turns up)
Don't have Twal so he is a trade in consideration too

Then have to decide what to do with Cleary, Ponga, Milford. I suspect I'll have to hold Cleary, waiting on further info before moving on the other 2
Potentially I'll end up holding CNK as 19th man if I am trading out guns due to injury

    BEs

Using a Magic Number of 12,000 (but over 13,000 is the season average) so hopefully that caters OK for the missing origin players this week

Could be Farnworth and Paix to choose from as well

Bronson Xerri BE of 61 oh how the tables turn, any hope of getting even 10k is probably out the window

After using all 4 trades and getting 2 cashouts and now having 4 trades left I need to go from:
    Watson (629k) + Xerri (505k) + cash (419k) = 1553k
    to TTurbo (753k) + Fifita (745k) = 1498k

But then this leaves no room to get a better 18th man than Mann (or D Brown with 1 trade for run home) with a final 17 of:
    Cook
    Fifita Haas
    Matterson Murray Taumalolo
Munster Ponga (will be Mann and only cashouts as cover while Ponga injured)
    Bateman Nikora
    RTS Tedesco TTurbo

    Smith McInnes Taupau SST/Klemmer
Mann Carrigan Coates Kerr (that EMG Vomit )
