Milford was my planned trade-in for round 16. Might have to avoid now. I'm still tempted, extra run metres and tb's and potentially attacking stats whilst ? retaining kick metres seems a decent shout. But with this injury talk, the Broncos being shit and the uncertainty around how he will go at the back I think I might have to pass. SJ and Moses are my other halves so I don't necessarily need another half, Watson gives me short term cover but he'll likely be traded out rd 18 so won't have long term cover.

    A. Stick with the Milford trade-in

    B. Find another half

    C. Trade someone else in like Matterson and worry about cover after later on.

Actually, I guess after rd 18 Burns would give me half cover via Ponga. (Though that means Burns is covering three positions)

    Thanks lads!

Chance that Cook and Murray both don't play round 17.. can't see how Ponga does either. One or both of the Turbo's could get rested as well.

If everyone is cashing out to 212k'ers this week then round 17 could be a big problem for some teams.

I hope all of those are out tbh. I don't have Cook but I have Brittain if Cook is out which would help me cover Murray. I have Ponga but will hopefully have cover. And I don't have the Turbo's. I traded out Cleary too, who if recovers in time for origin might miss rd 17 also.

Just checking - is this the round where a team would have zero trades left if they have max traded?

So with both Norman and Hunt playing origin, who are the Dragons' halves this week? Field and Nicholls? Sailor?

Yeah a quick count leads me to say, if someone max traded they would have two trades for this week and be all out.

Is Mahoney to Tevaga a stupid trade? I only have 7 guys playing in R16, and that's best case scenario (Haas misses Origin), and getting Tevaga gives me some much-needed cash and an extra player for 16. This would leave me with 6 trades left and 3 more planned for sometime in the run home (To'o to Burns, and then upgrading Fainu and DBrown sometime later)

My current team with R16 players bolded: $93K ITB, ranked 181st

    CS9
    TKO, Haas
    Jurbo, Lolo, Murray
    SJ, Munster
    Nikora, Xerri
    Coates, Teddy, Wighton

    Cook, Fainu, Mahoney, Bateman

    DBrown, To'o, Fifi, Ponga

I think I'm gunna share some heat and 4 trade so to have 15 this week, 2 trades remaining for the dash home. Balls to the wall and see how i fare.

I think you definitely need to make a trade, 7 for round 16 will see you slide. Further, Mahoney is averaging 50.5 so is only borderline keeper. It shouldn't be too hard to find a round 16 gun who will average higher than that and plays the extra game so win/win. Whether Tevaga is that guy I can't say. My gut says yes, but then, you know, Kearney.

I cant believe Klemmer could be overlooked for Origin. Even if Sims gets off(which he won’t) surely Klemmer is better then Safiti. For gods sake Fittler you had Klemmer play massive minutes straight in game 1 because you said we was the best out there now he can’t make the team!!!

I think I am forced to make a decision between SJ and RTS this week with Ponga's absence screwing my final 17 by forcing me to buy Mann - think despite Warriors having the hardest run home I'm probably going to still lean towards RTS. Also think I have to do a double cashout this week and max trade if I want Fifita and then best gun HLF/WFB (probably TTurbo) post Origin

I think my trades are going to be JFH, CNK, Lomax, Havili for SST, RTS, Coates and other cashout playing R16

R16 team after trades (4 trades remaining, 419k ITB)
    Cook
    Taupau Haas
    Matterson Murray Taumalolo
    Munster Mann
    Bateman Nikora
    RTS Tedesco Watson

    Smith McInnes SST Xerri
    Carrigan Coates Kerr Ponga

Problem is that I only have 93k itb so can't upgrade anyone other than mahoney to a geniune gun, and I will need some money for other trades later, so hesitant to upgrade Mahoney to a gun since I'm just short of the genuine ones (McInnes, Matto etc.) Tevaga seems like my best bet for a R16 playing player who could end up being a keeper. This trade leaves me with 218k to upgrade DBrown and Fainu with later on. Also planning to sell To'o or Xerri to Burns next week, since it gives me a bit more cover and Burns is a better scorer than both of them

I am convinced that Fittler is the coaching version of drinking and playing pool.... like he made some outrageous plays for game two and it came off brilliantly but he's had another can or two and he's gone off the deep end and will be shirtless peeing on the carpet in the corner while singing Johnny Farnham shortly.

Is running with 9 players this week too light on? Only have 6 trades left and only really want to use one. Will have these players if I bring in Coates for Havili:

    Haas
    Matterson
    Milford?
    Nikora
    Xerri
    RTS
    Smith
    Coates
    Carrigan

8-9 will be average so I can't imagine you'll slide much based on numbers alone however if Milf doesn't play and Carrigan/Coates scores low then you will slip a bit.

Good thing about Coates is that I imagine most will be using him as a cashout this round so won't make too much of a difference what he scores.

Broncos have posted an update re Milford and it sounds like he will miss games...

"The early diagnosis is a lateral meniscus, the severity of the injury is not yet fully known."

The video says "could be 1 to 2 weeks, but may need surgery and be 6 to 12 weeks"
