I'm running with Burns for cover (well, that's the plan anyway!)... but if you can afford Mitchell this week without cocking up the longer term team balance then I'd be very tempted. He'd be a quality option for the l**p.

That's one thing I regret (a bit). My end team plan doesn't really have that boom/bust option sitting in 18/19.

Yeah I'm getting Mitchell and was loving his loopability, but then looking at Easts' fixtures so many of them are on Sunday that he won't be that useful as first loop oprion. It's still doable some weeks, but it's not great.

Related, Roosters look like the best team for a red dot cashout.

I remember this. Roosters play late a lot in the back end. Wouldn't be the best to loop as I would be gambling on him more often than not.

Anyone I bring in now is staying haha so not ideal. Problem is I have Fainu aswell who is probably staying all year too.

They can become 18/19 when things go south. Leaves a bench of SST, Martin, CNK, Burns haha

    Could that work?

    I need some feedback lads

Coates vs Walters (assuming both start this round)

Coates: not expecting a huge score this round, but is an extra number. May also play round 17. As a npr he would give me the option to loop RTS/Burns.

Walters: I'm expecting a better score from him than Coates. Plays this round and could potentially play next round if Munster gets rested. I have Munster so it is a long-term safety. But this wouldn't give me the option to loop my WFB

I’m going tapine as my 18th man. $350k 80min player. Scored 41 on weekend. Raiders nearly back to full strength.

If Walters starts tonight and with Melbourne so many games up on the rest of the comp, there could be a chance Bellamy rests Munster some more allow an extra game or two? I'm personally torn on both of them.

But he hasn't played 80 since his return from injury. Or am I wrong?

I got Walters as a Munster handcuff plus the Storm are just a way better team lol I may yet get both but I think I want a forward cashout

Sorry I should have said, can play 80mins. Scored 40 odd in 40 odd mins on weekend. Considering I can go Dearden to tapine as nearly a straight swap, just think He could be a good option. Might turn things around too. Came home in a huge way this time last year.

As well as your own poll Chewie, there is just about the same poll going on for the community team - where Coates has a narrow advantage (oppposite of your poll but with lots more votes)

I currently have Walters, but thinking about switching to Coates, just because if he does play next week too, I'll probably need him.

Right at this moment I'm kind of glad I went Ponga to RTS before last weeks game so I'm not stuck with the dilemma right now.

Tough call tbh, seems like he will miss two weeks. Every chance the Knights play it super safe with him and give him round 18 off too. That's what I'm hoping for.... Evil or Very Mad

Yeo is another one like that, cheap and should go back to playing 80 in the second row?

Seems a great opportunity, and hope he is out as long as possible

I don't think there is a right or wrong answer unless you can see the future. We don't really know what to expect from Coates. In his one Q Cup game he scored 42 with two tries. He was quiet for PNG but defended well in the centres, though their halves didn't get him any ball (will the Broncos?)

I think purely for round 16 score, Walters is a safer bet. He loves to run the ball and Storms pack look like they should dominate the Dragons.

Coates might play more games though and is a better chance of getting a gig in round 17.

Dragons: Tim Lafai is rated a good chance of returning on Thursday night after falling short in his quest to return from syndesmosis surgery early last week. Patrick Kaufusi will take on his former side in his club debut for the Dragons. St George Illawarra have won seven of their past nine games at WIN Stadium. Lachlan Timm and Jordan Pereira were the two players omitted 24 hours before game time.

Storm: Storm coach Craig Bellamy said on Wednesday that Jahrome Hughes would return after missing last weekend with a back complaint. Billy Walters will make his NRL debut. Solomone Kata comes in for Will Chambers (Queensland duty) and will make his club debut. The Storm have won five of their past seven games against the Dragons. Max King and Harry Grant were the two players left out 24 hours out from kick-off.

Something tells me that P Kaufusi will start on left edge with one of Leilua or Latimore benched.

Not sure how solid the "Boyd has been on the chopping block for a while, but injuries have kept him safe" thing is. If it is then Coates for sure... but then who know if this week is a tryout and the better of Farnworth or Coates gets the cake for the rest of the year. Coates has lots of rep around him so I would say he gets the start if this is the case.

Walters is a solid player and son of the king so it is in his genes, playing for the right coach, right team, behind the right people. Been pretty consistent in QCup and I think is a solid 40 with the running game to allow him to go higher. Could also see R17 and possible other rounds with possible restings to come as Storm have Titan twice in the back end of the season.

For me I am grabbing Walters.
