My 8 trades is looking pretty good at this stage. Probably need some carnage to rise the ranks and win my leagues though.

Re: NRL Fantasy 2019 Part 68
After this week I will likely only have 2 trades and 16 players, or bring in a benchy to make 17 hold of on a gun for another week and be left with 1 trade for the rest of the year.
As for start of year POD I chose Issako

I held Edwards, Garner, Brown, Burns, Sele too long. Traded players like Capewell, Garrick, Mahoney too early as they kicked on with big scores after I sold them.
Had players like Arey, Dearden, Cleary, Lomax, Young who I traded in and got injured/suspended not long after.

i have a tedency to cut and run early, helps in a few cases, Farah, Holland and Edwards spring to mind, but i'm just as if not more likely to cut a cow i think has peaked who bounces back immediately and earns a chunk of extra change that i miss out on.

That’s the part of fantasy I struggle with. I find it hard to cut my losses early trading out players I trusted from preseason, or trading in players with unsustainable scoring patterns(Bateman with 10 tbs and 2 lbs, turns out he is just a freak)
Interesting point MS!
I guess it is because I'm less personally invested in my start team. I lean very heavily on the cookie cutter plus any other bits of gold I stumble across. I only really do high level analysis or stress testing of assumptions etc. This probably loosens up the early trade decision process.
Edit, I spend waaaaay more time on trade planning and research through the season

Previous seasons I was pretty patient with players hoping they'd come good. This season I was more ruthless dropping Holland, Edwards, Gillet, and Macca in the first 4 rounds which did wonders for my rankingStormTrooper96 wrote:

Shit no Teddy and I don't have any WFB scorer. Do I spend one of my 3 remaining trades on getting a WFB back-up?

Fuck you Robinson. I traded in Teddy for round 15. I have had him play for me once and won't have him again until round 18. Fuck me.

Surely this is a dumb question but would you go Martin > Burns over Watson > Burns so Watson and Burns can cover Ponga and Teddy?
