The conspiracy theorist in me makes me think Sticky just wanted to rest a lot of players because he secretly hopes they lose the game without intentionally throwing it, in the hopes Souths pass them for 3rd spot.
I would want to play the Storm rather than the Roosters too.
I wont mind if Souths lose to them tomorrow, as long as its not a flogging and Manly end up claiming 4th spot.

    Didn't expect Bateman
I remember bateman looking a bit iffy on the field the week before last. He was probably playing with some minor injury.

TBH, I have one trade left for the last round and that would normally be alright (maybe two at the most if you were a gun strategist at H2H) you can't really account for what has happened this round. As for having none over the final five rounds that probably hurts, i reckon 1 every two rounds for the last five or six usually sees you right (in saying that I left myself short once Burns was ruled out......hamstrings I never learn)

I was going to captain Watson but Mann on the bench is now putting me off. Surely there's no reason why Watson won't play 80 minutes again.

I was (half?) joking, I’d still take Mitchell. If Bulldogs didn’t appear to be completely tuned out for R25, Hoppa would be an interesting option.

This week is gonna absolutely kill me, I've got 16 at best and feel like I'm gonna get absolutely burned by the Papenhuyzen owners. I know that if I had any trades left, I'd be buying him and captaining!

If he keeps the starting fullback spot next year, I'll be starting with him for sure. His average at starting FB is 69.7, compared to Teddy's 60.1, Ponga's 51.5 and Turbo's 46.8. I know a 5 game sample size is small but he looks the goods

There's going to be so many underpriced players next year: Fainu, Papenhuyzen, Brimson, Stimson all have had heaps of bench appearances and score heaps well (excluding Stimson) when they start

I'm all for calling the season now, so that our rd 24 ranking determines where we sit in the NRLFF leagues.
I'll be likely to drop down to league 9 after this round.

I was half joking as well but he probably has a higher base than most centres so if you were favourite in a h2h....no way I’m not going Mitchell over him though

Problem will be FanHub adding their “potential” price valuing system to blokes like RyPap. Hopefully not.

I'm really hoping Cordner is a late scratching. Although Crichton will probably score similar in the middle off the bench anyway. The thing is, it's a big game, they'll want to play.

I think they will want Cordner to have a run, right? He hasn't played for a while now, probably needs the match fitness.

Yeah, I know, they'll want a bit of match fitness before finals. Maybe Crichton comes on in the middle after 20 and moves to the edge for the last 20. I can see Cordner playing 60 minutes perhaps depending on how the game is going. I'm probably completely delusional though.

    Cook (vc)
    Haas (c), AFB
    Taumalolo, Murray, Taupau
    Pearce, Brooks
    Nikora, ---
    Tedesco, RTS, Ponga

    Smith, Fifita, (Johnson), ---

15 if Johnson plays. Captain Haas for another ton, please!
    Out: McInnes, Bateman, Burns
    Brittain, Maranta, Coates

coates couldn't be helped. It was a toss up between him and Farnsworth and neither cemented a spot anyway.
Maranta - needed WFB backup, not sure who else was available at the time.
Brittain - probably the one where I really could've found a better rookie at the same time - hooker was great for scoring points in one round but it was the position I definitely did not need backup in.
