How hard is it for NRL.com to just chuck up the team lists before each explanation. I swear every 2-3 weeks they fuck this up.

Same. Looks like they haven't really involved the clubs.
Nice, your son must be super happy
Guessing he has already spent the voucher already in his head ?
I believe only confirmations have been sent out so far, mentioned they need to verify eligibility stuff before sending voucher out

Yep, that's true. Not sure how they verify that you haven't got a relative who works with any NRL club other than taking our word, but we'll see.
Yep. The dollars do buy a fair amount of merch. Might be some left over for a gift for Pookus, and I'll send Rabbit a Souths branded mouthguard after the beating he's taken.

ya know, if the NRL are as concerned about CTE as they claim to be, they can feel free to actually show it at the judiciary level at some point in the future...

Just thinking about this season though my biggest mistake was in rd 4 bringing in Farah as my set and forget captain over Cook. The main reason i did this is I thought the Tigers played the first bye, I didnt bother to double check. Cook went on a purple patch and Farah got ko'ed one game meaning 16 points as captain.
I also reverse traded Kenny to Brittain at last minute. Having Kenny over Brittain would have been useful.
My biggest mistake was not having Cook from the start. I know the money saved can potentially buy more points elsewhere, but just reviewing my season not only did I captain Fifita and James for their injury scores, I forgot I also captained Arrow for his 29 for a total of five captain scores under 50 for the first eleven rounds before the bye. My captains scored me 942 points over those eleven rounds. Cook would have scored me 1484. The difference would see me from 128th to 5th, just ahead of MTB The captaincy roulette killed me.
I know anyone can go yeah, if only I did x,y,z I would have won the thing, but starting with Cook as a set and forget captain isn't some way out there idea that no one saw coming. It just goes to show how important getting your captain right is, and I'll be looking to avoid the roulette next year and start with a set and forget captain, probably Cook, and probably trade over the byes.
Yeah, I based my team around Cook as I wanted a set and forget Captain. Was a fair divide of opinions on here in regards Cook owners and non-owners pre season. To be honest I liked my non-Cook team better before Round 1; but really wanted to do away with the Captaincy roulette.
I ended up Captaining Cook bar twice around Origin. A biggun towards the end would have been nice, but on averages happy I did.

Agreed. I think it started last year, and the gulf between teams prizes quality wise was pretty big. Kinda cool each team gives something "particular", but the inconsistency sums up our great game!

I like how the roosters one got posted out in a brown paper bag.
Though as a sharks fan, the peptides were a nice touch

This isn't far from the truth. My signed Roosters shirt (semi brag) was posted to me screwed up in a large envelope

On Hudson Young he deserved everything he got what a dirty player. For Stuart the other night saying he's concerned for his mental well being is all good & well but it's pretty hard trying to defend someone who is so blatantly guilty.

I don't know the full story, but a heap of accounts that had "nrl" in the name got deleted on instagram. Those people feared for their fb/twitter accounts so removed "nrl" from their names on there as well.

Has the winning coach, or the stooges coach, shown up anywhere online?

I did some analysis of my captains averages pre, during and post origin and I think having the set & forget captain in Cook helped me in the beginning
Pre-Origin: 65.18 average (Captained Cook 10 of 11 times, Captained Fifita once for 45) - 2 below 50 scores for Cook, 1 below 50 for Fifita (3 80+ scores from Cook)
During Origin (R13-R16): 65.5 average (excluded Lolo 103 because was only real option in R12) - 2 Cook (c), 1 CS9, 1 Fifi - 1 below 50 score from Cook
Post-Origin (R17-R25): 62 average (Captained Cook 3 times, and 1 of Moses, Munster, McInnes, Haas, CS9, Lolo) - only 1 80+ score in final round with Haas, 1 below 50 score from Munster with 40
If I had stuck on Haas post Origin in all games bar Storm game (where it was guessed Storm would dominate) I would have gained 118 points from just captains post Origin instead of rotating and probably chasing scores & fixtures
