Anyone want to share their thoughts on the West Tigers forward pack?
Where does Luciano Leilua fit in? Who will play on the edges?

I think Ben the other night was saying definitely Garner for sure for 80mins and that expects Chee Kam off the bench for impact.

I’m interested in Garner but I dunno if I have enough cap space for both he and Fifita in my back row, with the way prices are going currently unlikely to fit Garner in unless we get say 4-5 basement price cows appear out of nowhere.

Did I miss something? Packer couldn't get near the top squad last season, why would he be starting prop this year?

Don't see Twal playing "lock". He makes meters and makes tackles, but nothing else.

Do we think Hamlin-Uele can get a bigger role this year? Or does he play second fiddle to Fifita all season.

I think Packer at his best is definitely worthy of starting prop. He just needs to regain his fitness and his aggression. Hopefully after being left out for most of last season and an entire off-season Packer will be back at his best.

I thought the role of a lock was to make metres and make tackles. No other player in the tigers squad can play long enough minutes in the middle and get through the work that Twal can. Twal still has so much improvement left in him and I can’t wait to watch him develop even further.

Yes he will get more minutes. With the departure of both Prior and Gallen, a few players need to step up and I doubt Woods will be doing any more minutes. I’m looking at having all of Williams, Uele and Magoulias as all will have bigger roles this season. Lots of value there.

haha, the point re darius is, that won't happen.

Was wondering if there was any news about where Packer is at. I hadn't really seen anything to suggest he would be in the tigers 17 this year.

Supposedly this is the order of names on the depth chart on Siebolds office wall (someone worked out all the names from the video that the Broncos put up the other day).

    Edge
    Glenn
Pangai Jnr (Im pretty sure as there is 2 words)
    Fifita
    Hopoate

be interesting if that is the case.. could make Carrigan a good option

it also listed Boyd and Bird as the two centres. Though Staggs has been in rehab group.. the rest of the positions were pretty much as you'd expect.
