Spot on Friend. In 2018 he had a bit of a slump so was underpriced due to averaging 47.5. Every other season he averaged over 50, including last season over 5 games which included a score of 6 and 17 in injury affected games. So as long as Verrills isnt around he is one of the better options especiallt with how he started last year.

Nice one thanks. Here is my contribution of a version that I am about to use for selecting a team
    https://www.mediafire.com/file/ez4a4ipfe11s4h5/2020_players_updated.xlsx/file

It combines info provided previously by MTB and Milchy into one useable format that helps identify under-priced players and to select a team based on their pricing vs what you expect them to score. The Magic Number of 14529 is what Milchy advised today, you can leave it as is, it drives the "Priced at" calculation.

    How to use it:
    1. Everything is sortable, so you can click the drop down arrows and sort A to Z (low to high) or Z to A (high to low) in each column.

    2. In the "Want in Team" Column, you can categorize players by "Definite, Probably, Maybe, No" or leave them as "Select". Once you have them categorized, you can click on the drop down arrow at the top of the column (in cell H2) and untick the "No" and "Select" tick boxes. You will only have those that you are considering in your team remaining.

    3. In the "Role" Column, select what role you see the player having "Captain, Starter, 14-17, 18-21"

    4. For those you are interested in you can enter what your expected average score this season is. It will automatically calculate the difference between expected average and the average they are priced at.

    5. Now you are able to compare across players to fill the different roles and positions in your team.

    6. Work out a team combination that you like using MTBs site http://www.footystatistics.com/team_planner_2020.php

    Hope this helps!!

Whilst we are all adding spreadsheets - updated my excel solver for 2020 Prices

    https://www.mediafire.com/file/kcuwhduwp4n227e/2020_Fantasy_Solver_v1.0.xlsm/file

Instructions in the sheet (you need excel with the Solver add-on, also, close all other spreadsheets you have open or solver runs as slow as a dog), but any questions please post here or send me a PM

Before people get too excited about team building - I've started a thread for the Magic Weekend meetup

Interstate people probably want to get flights and accommodation sorted early, so post here to start planning

Is it to risky to have Friend as your starting hooker. Meaning there will be no Mccinnes or cook or smith

Everything's risky. It feels like the McCullogh thing again. A few years ago (from memory, I haven't checked) people that started with McCullogh did really well, rivalling Smith I think. Then last year, a lot of us were predicting (hoping Embarassed ) it would happen again. Friend will be 30 next month, so not over the hill if he's fit. One big difference is Friend is priced a lot cheaper from memory. Should be a solid pick, but no one knows the exact year when a gun slides in advance I suppose. At this early stage I'm 90% going to pick him.

One advantage in picking/not picking Friend is Roosters have the World Club Challenge next month. As the only actual competitive trial it should give us a reasonable idea of fitness and game plan.

He is in my team until I see strong evidence that he shouldn't be.

Coincidentally, both Tiger and Jetstar have Aussie Day flight sales till Monday around this weekend.

To Brissy from Sydney $50; Cairns and Melbourne cheap as as well.

To get the $49 flight you have to go up 6am Thursday morning

I'll pay the extra to go up on Friday in sensible hours

@mtb, I am having an old issue which occurred last season that is back again.

when you use the filters on one player then switch to another player, the filters appear to be removed, but are actually in place still on the data presented on the other player. I am using chrome.

I can see why someone would put him as starting hooker if you have Haas as captain with Koro and BBrailey on the bench.
I have him on the bench atm with McInnes as my starting hooker

    I don't have a team yet.

When I make one Friend will be in it, don't know yet if he'll start or be on the bench

Hey guys, I updated my draft team and tried my best to include Haas, Mcinnes, Moses, Friend and Lil Papi in the team whilst building a solid team around them. As always any feedback is helpful. Btw don't worry about the reserves I just filled them with randoms worth 228k. Also, my only concern with the team is the 3 souths forwards - Could be very risky.
