I like it Welshy.  Happy new years btw! I like all of those. How do you see Cook and Fifita going? Fair value? I could see Cook doing much the same as last year, low risk of downside and potentially undervalued given he averaged 65 excluding origin rounds (at which time I would intend to not be owing him) or even better 67 which is what he averaged in the first eleven weeks of last year. Fifita would be at more risk given dodgy knee and 31 yrs old this year, but again could be unders given his history and the latest news of a Uele injury. And we all know how you like a fallen gun??!!!! Not that he's fallen, yet....

Cook I see as rivalling Haas with less risk as cheaper. Captain

Fifita GUN prop as lack of higher end options, think he has most value at his current price

    Bateman.

Moses, was incredible for me last year! I'm sure he strung together like a 7 games run of 60+ scores, his base stats are so steady now only a few ticks under 30 considered bad after his previously penchant for single digits, monster KM and goals, still misses plenty of tackles but has the ability to go mahooosive

Papy. Severley undervalued if he nails down long term FB role

With Cook, yeah, can't help but think he couldn't have a worse season Fantasy wise than 2019. And that was still damned impressive, albeit as someone who Captained him all year it was a deadset rollercoaster, it evened out in the end. I think his running game can only get better again which is obviously what makes him.

The more I think about it, the more I want to ditch the "value" backs and start with Moses/Cleary in the halves. Genuine captaincy option when playing at Bankwest and probably the only player I would ever look at home vs away for

I will probably start with Kurt Mann in my halves - averages 40 at five-eighth.

Others I am seriously considering that are POD's would be Staggs and I Yeo.

Will consider starting with Greg Leleisiuao even if not playing round 1.

Yeo is on my radar, but if he gets dual and starts in 2rf, he won’t be a pod.

I had leileisiuao 2 seasons ago based on predictions he should start when he came back from injury, but it never happened. Any reason you think it will happen this season?

Morning all. No boss in the office for me today, so looking like a bit of planning cheer

Interested to know what other sorts of NRL games, picks comps, gambling people partake in or would recommend to others on the forum. I have limited myself to EPL and NRL Fantasy games or my addiction gets too strong. I am in a NRL weekly picks comp with mates and have the odd gamble on games.

    Set picks so far:

McInnes, Matterson, Moses, Burns, Papy, Friend, Koroisau

Haas will be in there if I can fit him otherwise ~Fifita

Probably going to do 4 hookers on the bench

There seem to be lots of players that you could argue the value for this season. While there will be a few must haves, there should actually be a reasonable amount of variety in team selections. More than I had expected a couple of weeks ago

Pappy, Brimson and Best are looking like locks in my backline. I hope Best isn’t priced more than 350k.

The more I do some calculations the harder I realise it’ll be to get a team under the cap.

I think you’re going to be pretty disappointed on the Burns and Best prices.

Moses absolutely morphed into an elite fantasy player last year, what makes him a special pick I think is the ability to potentially break the 100 but also have a high ish floor which is rare in the backs.

Yea 26 isn’t fantastic which I think was his low score, but I think he can really kick on this year.

I pretty much limit myself to NRL Fantasy. I've been doing BBL Supercoach, but I don't take it too seriously, and cricket is an absolute roller coaster of a fantasy game.

Haven't done any NRL tipping comps for a few years now. I still punt quite a bit on the NRL (almost exclusively h2h or line bets now) and have been dabbling in the Big Bash, have had an OK run there this year.

I would also like to add you are a legend MTB, love everything you do. Only thing I could ask for is another year or two's data like R&T said if possible. In terms of analysis, further improvements would be cool but I'm happy to look at it myself, I feel I get a better sense of things that way. Although, a simple tweak could be on a player's stats page, for the current year you have all their stats for each round, would be cool to have a total/avg at the bottom. Eg after 10 rounds (or whatever) you would not only know their avg, but their avg tackles/avg minutes/avg offloads/avg missed tackles/etc/etc per game. Wait, basically like you have in the "historical analysis" but in the current match stats. Would also like to buy you a beer or two at magic round, will you be there on the Saturday??

Comparing functionality - have started working on this.
"another year or two's data like R&T said if possible" - on its way but I need to clean up alot of the data.

I need more time in the day haha. I'm not sure how best to present the player stats (at the moment there are separate tables for 'current season' and 'historical data'. I was thinking I could perhaps just combine it all into one and show the current season by default and just have a button to expand the historical info..? its slowing the page down a bit to have two big tables.)

Magic Round - I am keen for an NRLFF meet up on the Saturday

Transferred to the Titans, earnt a top 30 contract, impressing pre-season, offers something different to their other outside backs e.g Don, Copely aren't exactly world beaters. Brenko Lee, Michael Gordon, Jesse Arthars all left club.
Could be in the team with an injury or due to a few losses on the trot and a needed change, that's if he doesn't start ahead of Copely or Don. Philip Sami has the other wing locked down. Kelly and Watkins I assume will be the centres.

I play Super Rugby and NFL fantasy usually. Restricting myself to season long betting on NBA, NFL, NRL, and Super Rugby. I've found by doing that you have more luck as the variability of H2H match ups is far greater than a season long comp. That said, I took a pounding this year in the NFL.

This kind of ties in with my comparing functionality. Being able to select one player, possibly hit a compare button which then you select a second player and you could compare a number of things (how many games they played together, who has more kick metres, who has more minutes etc etc). Also think it would be awesome if when looking at a players stats it also maybe has the score of the game and possibly even the team they play for. When looking it Max Kings stats earlier it was hard to tell which games were for the Titans and which were for Storm. I know not everything is possible and it may be hard and time consuming to code these sorts of thing but just know that I really appreciate everything you have done for the NRLFF community MTB Smile you are a legend around here! I’ll shout you a beer or 10 at magic round

I'm just guessing, but after finalising Latu's release, the Titans must be close to signing another outside back.
