    -lost a lot of weight
    -training primarily on edge
-said he had a few niggles last season that impacted his year
-sees himself as an 80 minute edge forward (i know, i know..)

If he looks fit in trials and starts on an edge I could be very tempted. He is priced at 32 and averages 43 when playing over 50 minutes, across his career

    or

Looking back on it I am probably disappointed with the year I had. I’d been fortunate with injuries before but I was carrying a few niggles and swapping and changing positions didn’t help either
We were so shit I had to play busted and still couldn't hold a position down.

Coming through I was always in a Cowboys team that was winning so there wasn’t too much pressure on anyone I guess
Other players made me look good and it was easy to fly under the radar

The last two years we have come under the microscope and I guess it flustered me being in an environment I wasn’t really comfortable in
There was nowhere to hide in a losing side and I got found out

Like last year, I will play anywhere Greeny needs me to,
I'd be happy just to get a start this year

I have lost a substantial amount of weight from last year so mobility-wise I am a lot better. I was probably playing a bit too heavy last year

So if Hess has lost a lot of weight then I assume he will lose a lot of power which was how he use to score his tries i.e. powering over the line with 3-4 defenders trying to stop him.

Just made a couple revisions, figured I'd need at least one set and forget keeper in my side. Praying that Carrigan starts, Burns stays fit and Grant plays 80

    Grant
    Haas (c), Knight
    Matterson, Fifita, J Williams
    Brimson, Croft
    Burns, Lomax
    Papenhuyzen, Isaako, Best

    Koroisau, Carrigan, Brailey, Su'A

    Luai, Magoulias, Leniu, Smith-Shields

To be fair when he first came on the scene he was nowhere near the size he was last year either.

Couple of pics of him in the most recent Cows training gallery and he is looking pretty ripped.

Im not sold on him, it would be a punt, but hes tempting.

Could run over the top of Milford for a couple of tries in round 1.

Not too shabby for an early draft. Good mix of cows and guns.

I was intent on not getting Haas and captaining one of Cook, Smith or McInnes but with all these value hookers showing up and FRF being as tricky as usual, I'm coming around to the idea of starting Haas. I mean, if I start with Cook, I'll have Friend, Koro, Brailey and now probably Grant on the bench. I know I'm allowed to do that if I want, but it's bound to make me short on coverage. I don't mind if I go without coverage in one position but would be uneasy doing it in more than one position. And I really don't want to go without one of those four (haas, smith, cook, mcinnes) after captaincy roulette plagued the start of my season last year.

I'm the same except I'm not completely sold on James. I've never seen a player come back from an ACL and score well

NRL Physio has done a piece, been discussion in here and a quick google should get you more info. Takes 12 months back before they hit their straps.

Had to google it but you're right. I certainly don't have his scores from then but I'd bet they were good, he played on the wing for a while though I think.

Going through some pics of Hess and by golly does he make me want to pick him
Below are a few pics of his new transformation and he is looking FIT AS FUCK

    NRL Fantasy 2020 Part 2 - Page 48 Hess_210
    NRL Fantasy 2020 Part 2 - Page 48 Hess310

Here is a pic of Hess last year probably at his biggest and another of Hess when he was picked for QLD. He looks 10x better now more than he even did when he made QLD.
    NRL Fantasy 2020 Part 2 - Page 48 Hess_410
    NRL Fantasy 2020 Part 2 - Page 48 Hess_510

If there is any indication Hess locks down that edge role for 80 minutes.. Hell even 60 I think he is cheap enough to warrant a start in my team.

Yeah James does have a bit of a question mark above him. I will wait and see how he goes in the trial games. I like his DPP and availability for round 12.

Other options for the FRF are Krispy Kreme, Mofo, Dark Knight Batman & Cardigan.
