Watching Haas as a non-owner won’t be that terrible IMO. He’s the one player that really does need to be doing it all to make his choice worthwhile. He can score 65 points and still be below par. You would be happy with a 60 point game from anybody else that you pick, but for Haas it would be disappointing. Imagine the catastrophic failure if Seibold decided to ease him back to fitness with 4 minutes less and he only scored 55 points!

If 65 is below par than as a captain getting that week in week out, it is worth it. He also has 90 point games in him too more often than not. I don't think he needs to be doing it all to make his choice worthwhile either. We saw the game against the Bulldogs in one of the late weeks, he just ran through them and guys were bouncing off him for fun. He's almost superhuman. I really don't like the Broncos but I've thought about not starting with him and he just seems the clear most reliable captain choice. There's not many others that you could look at and be confident that you are going to get 120 points every week.
I know early on last year, while I made some dodge choices (ahem, Edwards) and held players too long, picking the wrong captain and playing captain roulette fucking hurt me in the rankings and put me behind the 8 ball right away. Smith is showing his age, McInnes is possibly the next best IMO but he can have his moments too and some low games in him. Cook was rocks and diamonds last year and Tolo has Paul Green as his coach. I think the early rounds if you can have a safe reliable captain, you're on the right track, and Haas just seems to be that guy IMO.

I think his price is high because they’ve removed his HDA affected low game out? Seems there’s a few players where they’ve removed an injury outlier.
I think he’s going to avg low 50s and be a keeper, even without kicking, in which case he is priced about 100k under. But not sure I’m willing to take the risk.
Some players had their price increased a bit this year based on what the game devs thought would make for more interesting team selections.
Blake Brailey was the most noticable of these but SST got a small rise as well.
He is underpriced by about $80-90k based on 2019 games where he played over 40 minutes. So if you think he will get a consistent starting role with decent minutes, then there is value there.
He has been tempting for the past couple of years, but in my view he just doesn't have that consistency that some of the other forward guns have

POD Less than 10% ownership, including the "must have" cheapies. Challenging to do. Tried to focus purely on value and low ownership

Matterson Fifita Garner looks right order
I’m not into Su’a. Might change my mind after trials

Strangely competitive less than 3% ownership side
Peats
Twal Carrigan
Cartwright Garner Asiata (heaps undervalued - scores much better of the bench in the pack)
A. Taylor Watson (both quite undervalued due to a bad start to the year - both finished strong)
Burns Aubbuson (dream centre pairing if both starting)
Nofoaluma Edwards (yes Edwards - check his stats) Morris
E. Taylor (quite a good run of the bench at the end of last year - undervalued)
H. Hunt (undervalued due to a stint on the wing at the end of the year)
Molo (others have also talked him up)
Capewell (super low points per dollar - needs some tackle practice)
Kapoa C. King Paix Jensen

See I dont get the Lowe excitement. Like 3/4 years ago before his spinal cord injury he was good. It showed as 2014, 2015, and 2016 averaged 50, 47 and 49 points respectively in 70+ minute games. 2017 he dropped down slightly to 45 points, 2018 had only one game for 36 points and four games last year for 35.8 point average. There just isnt enough value imo to grab him. Of course if he looks like a new man out there anything is possible. But i just dont like the pick at the moment.

Not sure where you are getting 4 games for 35.8
Last year alone Lowe played 6 games as a starting second rower for scores of 40, 38, 65, 34, 38 and 31
With the way interchange structure has to work most teams have to play 1 or both second rowers for 80 minutes. I'd back the original incumbent of up and comer in Su'a

Where’s our NYC in-the-knows
Interested to get some views on who to look out for in the trials
Ie. Who is this year’s Xerri to maybe not make round 1 17 for their club but worth a Jersey 20/21 stash in fantasy?!

Re: NRL Fantasy 2020 Part 3
Feels all a bit 2019 but I think I’m going to throw Napa in alongside Haas
Started the season with a bang last year with a 50+ and a 60+ in his first 3 games.
Was deciding between MoFo or Lawrie but just saves a much needed 100k to put into the team elsewhere for any others looking at James replacement
Note: Have Carrigan in my 14-17 so not the end of the world if he doesn’t come off as a cow

Re: NRL Fantasy 2020 Part 3
What do we think about starting with Latrell as a cut priced keeper at centre? His stats at fb aren't completely flattering but that was back in 2016 in his first season and he's a much better player in a much better team this year. Value, or should I look at a cheaper option and use the money elsewhere?

Is he really cut-priced, if anything he's overpriced as he won't have GK and will have less tackles as base stats
No doubt he'll probably end up as one of the 2 CTRs to end with but definite wait and see for me, giving he hasn't played the position in a few years, and is at a new club, and can still get a low score
