    Thoughts on the latest draft?

    Koroisau
    Hass (c), Ese'ese
    Taumololo, NBrown, JWilliams
    Cleary, Mann
    Lomax, Milne
    Papenhuyzen, Isaako, Doueihi

    Carrigan, Stimson, BBrailey, Grant

    Musgrove, Magoulias, Luai, Rudolph

Trying to avoid origin guns except Hass and Cleary. Taumololo and NBrown were the pick of the bunch for me.

Only Kenny I believe. I think he'll play almost 80 minutes most weeks. And yeah 14529 courtesy of the cow

Is anyone considering looping for the start?

See I dont get the Lowe excitement. Like 3/4 years ago before his spinal cord injury he was good. It showed as 2014, 2015, and 2016 averaged 50, 47 and 49 points respectively in 70+ minute games. 2017 he dropped down slightly to 45 points, 2018 had only one game for 36 points and four games last year for 35.8 point average. There just isnt enough value imo to grab him. Of course if he looks like a new man out there anything is possible. But i just dont like the pick at the moment.

Not sure where you are getting 4 games for 35.8
Last year alone Lowe played 6 games as a starting second rower for scores of 40, 38, 65, 34, 38 and 31
With the way interchange structure has to work most teams have to play 1 or both second rowers for 80 minutes. I'd back the original incumbent of up and comer in Su'a

My bad the 4 games he played 80 minutes when starting in the 2RF he averaged 35.8. The only game he scored more than 40 when starting in the second row involved 2 tries (out of 4 on the season), an LB (out of 3 on the season), and a stray kick defusal to boot.

I figure both guys go close to if not 80 minutes. Just not confident in his scoring as of the last few years.

Always g3ts talked about at the start of a season, but starting with a dead position hurts your cash earning potential too much.

Seems like cash won't be that hard to come by with all these mid rangers... Looping grant luai and makaele could be fun

Could be fun for the first 3 rounds, but realistically you will hopefully make the right pick after Round 1. (At least thats what we all dream about.) But yeah how many points would you net yourself and how much cash would you potentially lose. Its not about there being a lack of cash. Its about making more cash than everyone else at the start.

I wouldnt do it mate. Last year there were a ton of people making money, and it was still tough to get a final 18 together (in fact many didnt).

There were a few people that started with a red dot - dont think any did well!

While I dont have the numbers, I think its the speed at which you can (or cant) generate cash that costs you ultimately. $100,000 made by week 4 is worth exponentially more that $100k made in week 17!

I don't see Kenny as any threat to Koro. Koro will be on the field if his fitness can handle it, early rounds he may have a bit of a break

Most of the players are in a lot of teams here, so I don't see why people will

Do you expect Ese'ese to start? I assume so otherwise what are you expecting from him

Personally I don't see a lot of value in Nathan Brown. Don't think he is underpriced enough to make decent cash, and don't think he scores well enough to be a season keeper.

Lots of people going Adam Doueihi after moving to the Tigers

He is priced at 32. His average as a fullback is 32.
If he gets goalkicking that might add another 5 points a week.

If people are avoiding Brimson because playing for the Titans hurts scores, what do they think moving from Souths to the Tigers would do to Doueihi's attacking stats?

I was listening to the official fantasy podcast on the weekend. They talked a bit about matchups for the start of the comp.

Their stats suggested that Parra's right winger (ie Blake Ferguson) has the best matchups out of any player for the start of the comp. Personally I don't think he has enough upside, but for those who playthe matchup game, its something to consider.

They also suggested that Broncos hooker has a favourable starting draw, so if Turpin looks like getting a good run there (I have my doubts) another one to throw on the value hooker pile

He will be our hooker all year, and might make some cash slowly, but I reckon he avg's low 40's. Isn't the type to rack up massive tackle counts, and I think his focus will be more on ball distribution rather than running out of DH

My 3rd wfb spot I currently have Simonsson based purely on the Raiders opening draw. They play:
Titans (h), Warriors (a), Dragons (h), Manly (h) & Panthers (a) in the first 5 games but the first 2 games are gold & I'm hoping Simonsson will be dotting down for a few tries.
