Who is next in line if Bateman injury takes a while, Tapine to edge? He scores better there than at lock.

Has anyone thought about HAMPTON as the answer to our CTW/WFB cheapy dilemma?
Priced at $282k and moving to 5/8 position ,Morgan not a super dominant 1/2 partner.
Only problem may be job security and scoring if in your top 17

I know it may sound like I am eating a uni-cornish pastie but I am predicting around 55-60 minutes consistently, leading the pack and an average around 45 and would be OK with low 40's.
The surgeon who cleaned out his arm trained the house down to make him pain free. New club. Old moe. Ticks all the boxes. Probably the first player I would change though
I like the cut of your jib, C.S!
I have been enjoying your posts thoroughly, stick around and I’ll nominate you Rookie of the Year
(This is not a thing, but we will make it a thing)

It means a pivot for me to Taumalolo as my gun second rower. For the Raiders it probably means Tapine on the edge

Where did you see Hampton playing 5/8? Surely Drinkwater and Clifford are ahead of him in the pecking order

He's currently in my CTRs though by no means a lock. More the best thing I can afford at the moment. I don't mind him as a player and am happy to give him a run in the centres if he's on the field, fit and playing 80mins each week.

If the Tigers don’t play Harry Grant for 80 each week then they’ve wasted their time with him. Haven’t seen a bloke in QCup control a game like he does in a long, long time.
Speaking of fantasy relevant players dominating reserve grade... what happened to 2019 NSWRL Player of the Year and R12 special Billy Britain? Not in Souths top 30, no news at all about contracts that I’ve seen. Seems a fairly big fall from grace.

Tapine 70+ minutes at 2RF average of 47 (in 22 games over 50 mins he played 21 at 76+ minutes, so is a locked in 80 minute player like Bateman)
Tapine 50+ minutes at lock average of 38

Not the way he scored last season playing center and wing, average of 17 with a high of 32 over 7 games. in 2018 he scored well at Center and Fullback.

I watch a lot of QCup on FOX, but not so much last season. Certainly has massive wraps and this very reassuring.

When Bateman was injured/rested Hudson Young replaced him and Tapine was injured at the time but Young is obviously suspended until R6, so it's unknown but would expect Tapine to edge and Horsburgh/Sutton to lock
It probably wouldn't be a long term thing though, if he doesn't recover by the best case scenario timeframe it would still probably only be 1-2 rounds most likely as best case of 3-4 weeks still leaves 2-3 weeks before R1

Souths let him go at the end of the year but I haven’t seen him turn up anywhere. You’d think he could have been an option for Manly or the Tigers hunting for a hooker...

There was an original rumour Billy Britain was going to sign with ththe dogs. Then, the tigers popped up. This was posted in Jan.
