JMK is high on my maybe list too.

This forum is so divided re Friend, some are adamant gets 70 mins plus and others think he won’t get more than 60mins.

I'd be concerned more about how many points he gets rather than minutes. There are plenty of players who score the same in 40 minutes as they do in 50 minutes. There are some who score much the same in 60 minutes as they do in 80 minutes. Minutes are important for opportunity, but don't be too obsessed with them.

Sure but Friend's scores in sub-60 minute games aren't amazing

Sure, but if you take games over 50 minutes (because anything less is probably an injury game):

    2015 - avg 52 in 69 min
    2016 - avg 59 in 76 min
    2017 - avg 53 in 75 min
    2018 - avg 50 in 71 min
    2019 - avg 77 in 69 min (yes only 3 games)

The point is, you don't need to play 80 to score well. Friend will do just fine in 65-70 like he always does. Would you not pick Haas because he doesn't play 80 and there are guys on the bench which limit Haas' minutes to 64? Even last year with injury concerns, if Friend was fit, he started and played big minutes. He's the co-captain in line for an origin spot. Verrils wastes a spot on the bench and there are a couple of other players who can briefly fill in if he needs a rest. I don't see the concern unless trials and TLT throw up something completely unexpected.

9’s Squad SOUTH SYDNEY RABBITOHS: Damien Cook, Dane Gagai, Cameron Murray, Jaydn Su’A, Junior Tatola, Ethan Lowe, Campbell Graham, Braidon Burns, Bryson Goodwin, Troy Dargan, Joshua Cook, Lachlan Ilias, Keaon Koloamatangi, Blake Taaffe, Jaxson Paulo, Edene Gebbie, Jack Johns, Patrick Mago

I like it tbh, nowhere near full strength but a good mix of first graders and youngsters.

Obviously looks like we aren’t risking Latrell, AJ, Roberts, Allan, Tom.
Cody, Reyno, Knight, Nicholls, Dillon, Rodwell all either injured or in rehab.
No Sironen or Amone there either.
No Marsters, Hawkins, Denniss there as well.

Ta’affe and Ilias were our premiership winning Jersey Flagg halves, they have big wraps on them, Dargan we bought from QLD Cup.

Gebbie will be a mixed bag of diamonds and rocks.

Josh Cook our young hooker just out of Flegg also has very big wraps on him.

"Before the season begins you can make as many Trades as you like, but after Round 1 you are limited to two Trades per week for standard weeks and four trades for rounds 12, 15 & 16, up to a maximum of 34 trades for the season."

I saw this when it opened but if you actually look at the lockout times it matches up with R14 not R15 for the 4 trade round

Was a bit disappointed as I wanted to use 8 trades in 2 rounds

If he hasn't shown form since 2016, why am I considering him based on his 2019 stats?

I dont think there is anyone else down here in Dunedin, but just in case, here are the details for Steve's funeral. Happy to catch up with anyone if they intend to go.

1.30pm on Thursday at Hope and sons in Mosgiel. It's a public funeral.

A few more fantasy related snippets from me about Steve too...

As someone posted, he was present here on this forum (cant recall the user name RNGD Analytics or something). I know he liked this place. A couple years back I recall him posting quite a bit. He had big respect for many people here but had specifically mentioned to me @Milch and @MTB for all the analytical work they do, and also among several others @verbal for his consistent performances over the last 2 years. @Pookus too, if Im not mistaken, was the person that pipped Steve by a point or two in the Rengades Cash league last year (is that right Pookus or have I got you confused with someone else?).

Also, as I mentioned the other day, Steve and I ran a joint team in SuperCoach last year, we went pretty poorly, partly because neither of us had played that comp before. I emailed Steve on Friday and was going to suggest we shift to VSDT (my favourite platform). Im still going to do that and am thinking of a way to include our forum members if they want to. See link below and join me there throughout the season.

They haven’t added points for strips have they? Really should be +2 for a strip and -2 for getting stripped

Agree here Pookus. Hold tight! I am also a Burns fanboy and he is staying in my side. Potential cut price gun centre in a tricky position v potential 2nd-tier-gun Half that will need to be traded for a final team.

Re the 2 gun CTRs chat from before I just can’t see the appeal as it’s probably just as likely that you’re still going to need to use trades on your CTRs

If you start with 2 gun CTRs would you still forego players like Latrell/Hopoate late in the season for your final 17. Even Momirovski averaged 50 at CTR in 5 games mainly through a 96 and could be playing at Storm if trade goes through

There’s a fair few players in that 500k range around the price of the gun CTRs in different positions in which you’d probably expect them to maintain a similar/higher average with less fluctuations

Gone 1 night and I miss 12 pages. To save anyone else in a similar position here is the result:

MS played a weird coin toss game with players names
There's a list of players getting a failhub discount
Big reveal 4 trades are round 15 this year
    Carty party is back baby
Post your age to satisfy the fantasies of a new poster
    Mulvy's still fucking up posts
Welshy's in denial that Wales isn't part of England
    Everyone's team relies on TLT

As for the age thing, I've seen Newtown play top flight footy at Henson Park.
    &
My contribution to current proceedings is take Grant out of your team now to save you time later. Rumour is NRL have it in the too hard basket and wont be approving it.

Admittedly, bringing Ponga back with my very last trade was a shocker.

If Bird ends up at fullback during the season, then Isaako's form must have been terrible, and whoever had him would have traded him out by then anyway.

If you're starting with Croft then you're probably expecting nearish keeper scores, yeah? Good enough to have in your side up until, or after, origin. You looking for high 40's, and I imagine if he's giving you that, then you're not too worried about upgrading him until later on in the season.

You're not really buying him if you think he will average low 40's, although that would be servicable enough.

I woke up with Burns back in my side. Facilitated by Chewie's news from Newcastle.

Easy E, Burns and Stimson in my 17 outscores and makes more money than A Fifita, Capewell and Luai (who goes back to npr). Possibly gives me one or two extra rd 12 players also.

Exactly right, I've got him about mid 40's which is not quite enough to make cash or keep until origin. If you're picking him it's because you think he'll get at least high 40's which makes cash and is serviceable until the byes BUT with the upside that gun scores aren't out of the question also. He could totally be one I regret. I just feel like Burns has a higher chance of elite gun scores in his position than Croft does in his position.
