Lawrie seems like the guy who would take on more mins if you ask me. Priced the same as Mez.. in games over 50 mins he avgs 50 in 55.. seems more likely to get those mins than merrin if you ask me, based on what we know

Id happily pick Merrin if I knew he would get the mins and his fitness could handle it. But id need more than just 'hope it happens' to pick him.

Merrin may get 45-50mins and Lawrie will get 40mins.
Be interesting to see how many minutes Isaac gets and how many minutes McInnss plays at lock.
At this stage I still have Knight and MoFo ahead of Merrin.

Re: NRL Fantasy 2020 Part 5
Just as an FYI, this is what the cow's forum think the rd 1 team will be (not what they'd prefer but what they think Greeny will pick). It's a few weeks old though:
Stampede Predicted ACTUAL Round 1 Team
1. Valentine Holmes (93.3%)
2. Kyle Feldt (96.7%)
3. Esan Marsters (63.3%)
4. Tom Opacic (50.0%)
5. Justin O'Neill (50.0%)
6. Scott Drinkwater (76.7%)
7. Michael Morgan (80.0%)
8. John McGuire (86.7%)
9. Jake Granville (86.7%)
10. Jordan McLean (86.7%)
11. Gavin Cooper (100.0%)
12. Shane Wright (60.0%)
13. Jason Taumalolo (100.0%)
14. Reece Robson (90.0%)
15. Coen Hess (60.0%)
16. John Asiata (86.7%)
17. Francis Molo (90.0%)
Notes:
* 30 responses (each response = 3.3%)
* Tom Gilbert predicted to play right wing over Kyle Feldt by 3.3% (1) of respondents - possibly a miss-click as they're adjacent in the dropdown list.
* Centre and left-wing are the most contentious with O'Neill (96.7%), Marsters (90.0%) and Opacic (56.7%) holding off Hampton (30.0%) and Taulagi (20.0%).
* Halves clear cut with Morgan (100.0%) and Drinkwater (83.3%). Clifford had 16.7%.
* Props were unanimous with only the number on the jersey varying.
* Stampede are confident Greeny will stick with Granny (86.7%) - interesting to see the results for preferred hooker from the other survey.
* Cooper was unanimous on the left with Wright (60.0%) edging Hess (36.7%) on the right.
* JT13 was unanimous.
* Bench selected based on total votes across the four bench positions adjusted for their highest voted number.
* Total bench voting:
* Molo (90.0%)
* Asiata (86.7%)
* Robson (66.7%)
* Hess (60.0%)
* Hola (33.3%)
* Wright (13.3%)
* Dunn (10.0%)
* Hampton (10.0%)
* Jensen (10.0%)
* Quite a few people think Greeny will back some kids in Round 1:
* Gilbert (13.3%)
* Simpkins (6.7%)
* Tabuai-Fidow (6.7%)

Lolo and Friend for me.
Just looking at half these Nines teams, quite a number of sides are close to full strength. We could very well see some fantasy injury carnage with how seriously some teams are taking these Nines.
Not much different to a training run, really. Risk the same all week

And one poster's comment regarding who we should resign which I enjoyed:
OFF-CONTRACT COWBOYS
John Asiata: Yes!
Gavin Cooper: Retire
Reuben Cotter: Yes depth
Mitch Dunn: Yes
Kyle Feldt: Yes
Frank Molo: If he didn't resign I'd stab someone
Tom Opacic: Fk off
Emry Pere: Meh
Dan Russell: Meh
Tukimihia Simpkins: Yes
Shane Wright: Yes depth

I expect Merrin to be 30-35 off the bench until I see something else in the trials. He’s more likely to be 2018 version than 2016 version. But who knows?
I am pretty confident McInnes will play zero minutes at lock.
Last year Robson came on and played lock. This year if picked Luke will do the same. Why would you take one of the best hookers in the comp and shunt him into a less important position for a part of the game?

Well McInnes was a big advocate in getting Luke to the club (played together at Souths). He also said hed be happy to play a bit of lock mid game.
Now that doesnt mean the coach will do that, but it could certainly happen. Espeicially with Mary who loves that shit

Re: NRL Fantasy 2020 Part 5
Let’s not pretend that Trent was just eating pies all day over in Leeds, he was captaining the Rhinos and apparently busting his ass to lead from the front- big minutes, massive tackle counts, offloads for dayz. Say what you will about the guy he was always one of the premier workhorses of the NRL competition.
I am very interested in him if he gets the minutes, I don’t see why he won’t.

Merrin pops loads of offloads amd Lawrie doesn't.

Not eating the do-nut house down. Gotta get him in!
I've been thinking about the Tigers HOK. Mbye has been training there. Grant is not likely to come. I don't think Walters is much hope/.

If Guerra started second row. How many minutes does everyone expect him to get.
My other question is how many minutes does everyone expect Merrin the unit to get?

Valid but I’m thinking (hoping) that while he’s been prepared to spend a couple of seasons messing about with FB, he will leave hooker alone.
But probably not.

I don’t see why predictions have Lawrie on the out. For me he is the new Merrin and don’t see why they’d make the call to bin their best player last year, in admittedly a typically shite season

Re: NRL Fantasy 2020 Part 5
Which option do people think is better with current information: Knight & Best VS Burns & Tetevano
I probably see expected averages as around 46 + 30 VS 40 + 35 which is very close but in advantage of first choice but having 500k CTR would leave me with gun or sub-gun in each position
Though I'm not sure I would keep Burns all season despite his adjusted average of 44.7 as there is still lots of CTR options that could emerge to be top 2 CTRs nearing the end of season
