Re: NRL Fantasy 2020 Part 7
Latest David Fifita team:
Api
Hass (C), Carrigan
NBrown, DFifita, JWilliams
Cleary (V), Mann
Capewell, Lomax
Ponga, Papy, Aekins
Drinkwater, Stimson, BBrailey, 1 of below
Luai, Musgrove, Curran, Rudolf, Leleisiuao
Hookers:
Api is good value and set for 80. BBrailey may only be set for 50 minutes to start season. Will pick up Grant if he comes to Tigers. Smith, Cook and McInnes can wait.
Props:
Hass first picked, captain and 13 points better than next best prop. Carrigan with the lock spot beats out an unlucky Knight. Mofo and EseEse the only others to be considered seriously.
Second Rowers:
David Fifita makes the side due to Lodge injury and locked in to start. Nathan Brown is undervalued and could hit mid 50s average. Finished year with average of 54 from last 7 games. Plays round 12 (if not injured).
Jack Williams beats out Hess and Leilua due to more nailed on starter and at lock. Stimson beats out Su'a because I think he plays 80. Should average around 40.
Halves:
Cleary was second picked. KM boost due to being alongside Luai. Mann is at least 10 points underpriced and I have more faith in him to hit 35s than Luai.
Centres:
Last picked was Capewell. If starting second rower should hit 40 average, provided he doesn't miss 12 tackles a game. Only needs to last 6 weeks and I can reassess. Lomax, fullback and GK and cheap. Not sure who else has that upside.
No centre cover but not sure I want another centre.
Fullbacks
Ponga is undervalued, GK, and Knights should rip the Warriors to shreds in Round 1.
Papy, 3rd picked. Must have.
Aekins, cheap fullback in an attacking side. Can break a tackle and will make money.
Drinkwater, cheap, playing at 6 and covers both Fullback and Half if Mann or Aekins or Luai turn to shit.
Picking big things from Musgrove and Rudolf this year.
Curran could also start edge second row for Warriors. With Afoa and Tevaga out to start year Ipap and Blair most likely be used in the middle.
Might just park Mr. Vowel in the 21 waiting for a start on the Titans wing.

Do enough research preseason so you can back your decisions and not chase every must have that scored a try

Guns and cows route.
Get your Hass, Taumololo, Cleary, Teddy, Ponga players.
Limit the midrangers.
And get cash cows:
Avoid 20 min bench players and wingers who can't break tackles. Prefer fullbacks or tackle breaking players (Sivo), and starting players if possible.

Join the tirade-rage club mate.
Try to resist emotional trading on Mondays...after a game, I just couldn't help myself.
DPPs are gold in your reserves, instead of trading out an injury (especially short term) swap them into NPR and use your DPP cover.
Seems like the best players have a clear strategy of when they want to pull the trigger on a trade (cash made, when a gun's price has dropped enough, for byes etc.) I'm going to try to map out some kind of strategy - trade hard for 4-5 rounds, ease up etc.
But, knowing me...I'll still fall victim to stupid-trade-itis.

Looks solid enough.
I made the mistake of no Centre cover at the start of last season and lost 2 backs in the first round to injury, spent the next 4 weeks playing catch-up and trying to fill gaps in my 1-17, wasn't pretty. I'd at least drop Smith-Shields (or similar) in 18-21 as WFB/Cnt cover in case Lomax gets busted in Rd.1

It does a little bit to me with MCK on the bench. Garner the 80 minute man, Lucy will see around 50 minutes whether that's the middle or edge or a combination. He will only see more minutes if in-game injury occurs.
Remember, in 2018 he played two games around origin time and then 3 games at end of season (starting 2nd Row)
Then in 2019, 1 game around origin and 3 games at end of season again.
Not sure that is a good gauge on his likely average over the whole of the season, with week in week out NRL footy.

If say Haas averaged 55pts first 4 roughly how much would he drop?

Assuming he scores exactly 55 each game he would drop to roughly 868k with a breakeven around 70

Really want Keary to kick some ass in the WCC. I have had him in my "Gun" half spot for a while now and just need a confidence booster to stop my wavering. Opens up so many options for my team than having Cleary in that spot. It's more a gut feel than common sense but we shall see

I think they see Faitala Mariner as an interchange middle forward,
and CHN as a interchange middle forward also to open up a spot for Stimson.
Elliot can get lost.

LOL not that i brought up 80mins but whatever. Lowe played a few games like 4 or 5 at 80mins in the back end and Sammy B definitely played some 80 min games. I don't why every thinks thats going to change all of a sudden.
My point was is that in a team (any team not just the rabbits) Starting rowers are unlikely to be brought off for the hell of it. I can't see Su'a starting then only playing a 40mins or something. Second rowers will get substantial time unless injury
You not silly hey... Anyone would think you've watched this game for a while and know a thing or two.

Is it worth the double trade to bring hass in though? I guess if it means starting with an extra gun to start with. If it just means starting with a midrange player over a potential cash cow then id prob just pick hass to start with

Re: NRL Fantasy 2020 Part 7
I'm surprised no one has mentioned W. Blake as a ctr option. Eels have a good opening draw & he's playing outside Matterson who is more of a playmaker type (not a hole runner) which will lead to more ball for Blake. Contrast this with Ma'u last year who was a hole runner so he would run the ball & not look to pass the ball to Blake.

Head that big and ugly on a neck as thick as an average blokes waist would needa be hit by an atlas ball before he needs a HIA.
