Any chance Baptise stays off the Raiders bench this year?

He missed 6 at the start of the season and didn't play the full 80 minutes in two games.

Hooker's a bit of headache with only Parcell & Levi and their unknown status as cheapies and everyone secure at $450k+. Main exceptions are Nathan Friend and Buhrer and while I don't fancy either of them if forced I'd probably take Friend with job security in a team that's going to have to do a lot of defending. Manly still have Buhrer, Brown, Mateo, Symonds, Leary for two 2rf spots and you don't know how Barrett is going to play it, and - this is only rumour, so make of it what you will - saw a story linking Buhrer with Huddersfield because he's on the outer at Manly.
Props obviously good. Have Welch as a placeholder NPR as well but would hope someone with more potential comes along pre-season.
2RF. Don't know about Carter and would think Chee-Kam closer to minutes than Henry. Wait and see the teamlists.
DCE, Hastings, Taylor yes. JRey less so. I know we can't over-consider potential injuries and suspensions, but it's JOSH REYNOLDS.
Centres are pretty much what I have at the moment. Not massively happy with them, but if one of the three fires into a keeper or two of them make good coin then good enough.
WFBs. Mansour a gamble but a fair gamble. If he goes well we know he scores big and will likely be a POD. Holmes - would want to know he's locked down fullback because it's not like he'll score better than he did last year if he sticks on the wing, but the Sharks might want to keep him there. Would anyway be considering bye-friendly Gordon ahead of him if you have the extra $35k.

Had not heard that about Burher mate, thanks for that, always thought Manly thought very highly of him and he has played big minutes for them in the past but guess with Toovey gone it might all reset! If named to start i think Burher will be the 80 minutes back rower in that Manly pack and would become the option again
would love Baptiste to drop off the Raiders bench so i could grab Hodgson, but can't see it happening, would likely drop the cash off JTurbo and turn Burher into Peats/J.Friend, if Burher is on the outer potenially Granville if the boys drop a bench utility
Carter was scoring pretty well for the titans a while back, with stewart gone, Turner under a massive concussion cloud he may even get a starting spot with Burgess and Sutton, def think he is in for some minutes, Same with B henry he was scoring pretty well for the warriors before all the injuries
with Hodgko gone i def think Reynolds will be the bulk KM king for the dogs, Milchy pointed out his 80min games where he avg 46 pts priced at nearly 10 points under potential there that i think he is worth an early season gamble
Have always scrimped on the CTRS and never hurt me too much, lucked with Solly last year but he was only priced at 179,000 so was never much of a risk to begin with, think Lafai go's in the 35 range this year, just a feeling.
Mansour after last years injuries im also backing to iht his straps again, absolute GUN 2014 and can rack up the TB's hopefully the panthers stay healthy this year. Holmes wont be there if he isnt named at FB, i'm hoping its Bird TBH and then Fergo has big potential if named starting FB to score very well
thanks for the input mate

I like your side, I like it a lot, my minorquestion is who is your captain?
I think every side to start the year needs a locked on captain who can be relied on for a 60 every week. smith, gallen, Parker, farah in the past,
I just don't see a captain in your side.

something i have been wrestling over mate Seg playing 80 mins i think would be the guy, can't trust a half so DCE would be out but might be able to pursuade myself if Walker is named 5/8th
obvously went with Surgess over Parker and Gal because of price but wouldnt trust Surgess with the C at the start of the season at least
so only really Seg mate and that is a risk, just gives me much better balance elsewhere going without CS9, Gall or potentially Fifita...

On Buhrer, I've also read he was on the outer, apparently they tried to ship him off to Newcastle.
I think Brown might be good for a starting spot, but as Random said, he needs to play 80 to be worth it. Even at 60 minutes its not great value.

On Josh freaking Reynolds
Look at the games Reynolds and Mbye played together when Hodkinson was missing. I'll probably end up saying this a few times in preseason, but it will make you not want to touch Mbye. And Reynolds suddenly looks tempting.

Ahh nuts will look at upgrading Buhrer then by the looks
Seen Pauli Pauli has joined the knights, could be some minutes for him in that knights front row

MS, you're the first person to name Fifita in a team. What do you see in him, that we ate ignoring in favour of Jbrom/Cooper/McGuire
Also, nobody picking Gallen or Gurgess. Why are we collectively dissing these guys.
Its a similar team to what I am thinking of at the moment except downgrade Fifita to upgrade halves/backs.

Im am not abject to running a DCE/Hastings starting combo has worked for me in the past running 1 GUN and 1 low price new starter, definately helps spread the cash around! but after delving deeper into J reynolds i don't see much risk (of losing money) and a fair bit of potential just incase Hastings completley bombs
i do like the looks of this team MS, front 5 is beastly
good CTR pairing, havent even thought of putting Benry there
dont think i could run Copely as a starting WFB without a certified GUN already back there like a tedesco, RTS. that might be MAnsour but a fair few question marks over him. I think he will return to GUN status mind

Going with Fifita because not only does he have the highest ceiling among FRF, he also seems to be a bit of a POD
Off Gallen because I think he takes a bit of a back seat this year to Fifita/Wade Graham in the Sharks forward lineup
No Gurgess because I see him as a tier below Woods/Bromwich. On the same tier as Graham but Graham has better byes.

Worried about halves and second row mainly. If Hastings/Taylor bomb its not too much trouble to downgrade a prop to whoever the latest cash cow is and bring in a proven half. If they both fire I'm sitting pretty.
At this stage was planning on running a rotation based on fixtures with Copley, Gutherson, Nuffie(likely Addo-Carr from Tigers)

Now i have looked at JReynolds i'm finding it hard to revery back to your half pair, because i know that extra cash can be used to turn Burher into a GUN hooker
Good call on the WFB rotation mate, any reason you have Gordon over Fergo/Holmes?
