Guler. He's still a bench forward right? Averages 24 off the bench right? Negative BE sure, but normal bench forward scores don't make him a lot of cash. What are we expecting going forward? Sutton lurking, Bateman at some stage too. Smells trappy?

Went with him because Sutton out rd1 and killed in trial +200m off bench. Many Raiders fans on forum picking him as surprise package player of season. That said not sure would rush to get him if didn't start with

Also expecting that high value rookies are going to be appearing each week at the moment, that I can trade these guys to next week.

While I dont have many guys that I am really disappointed with, probably the 2 that didnt really get the role I wanted and can free up the cash for the big gun move that I really want to do are Levi and Knight.

Here are some options I am looking at, Cleary, Hughes, Isaako, Williams. While others like Yeo, Horsey, Sami, Benji all dont have the long term job security of the reasons that they scored so well in round 1.

Cleary - Went with Moses in this toss up. As expected, without Maloney beside him, he was dominant. 68 points without needing to do anything too special. Could amazingly be a typical game for him, with possible upside at times when he has a blinder. Last weeks great score included 571 km, (28 points), 4 goals (8 points), 19 tackles (19 points), he averaged 90 running meters last season (9 points), that is 64 points per week, without having to do anything spectacular!! Also averaged 2 TBs per week last season, another 6 points!! Currently priced at 54. The guy I am looking likely to rip my team apart to get in. Hard to do though when you have Haas, Lolo, Fifita, Moses.

Hughes - At halfback, averages 22 tackles (last week 30), 60 meters gained (last week 60), the big difference last week was kicking 275m making him the primary kicker over Munster (158 km) for the first time, and 2 of those kicks were really quality try assists finding the winger on his wing. If he can keep the kicking meter average at that, it gives him 41 points just in those 3 stats each week, plus anything else he can add to it, currently priced at 40. Dual too.

Isaako - Got the great role we all expected in January and all had in our teams, before he lost form, Bird found his mojo, then got taken out for the season. His 63 last week was his best score at fullback and he was playing behind a rampant Broncos team. It included a try and try assist. In my team, WFB isnt a weakness with all 3 players scoring well last week.

Williams - Will need attacking stats to be a standout, and won't be playing Titans every week. Can wait and see, if still scoring great, can look at trading him in after a week or 2. Would imagine not many teams would have Moses, Cleary and Williams if we end up there.

So, at the moment, looking at trades of:
Levi > Cleary and Knight > Katoa

    Gun up!

I like this - looking at Hess and Knight to Cleary and Katoa. Thinking I’ll give Stimson another week (although it sort of feels like Holland and Dedwards all over again where I hold them longer than everyone else and they just don’t get better!)

    A) overachieved in their scoring and are actually looking worse than everyone else is thinking or
    B) slightly unders for their hoped scoring but you expect they will come right (like Twal last year)

    For me:
    A) Lomax - won’t be getting 2 try saves (12 points) and a gifted try every week. Worst running meters of any fullback in the comp by a mile. Overachieved this week for scoring, a sell despite his reasonable score. Pleased I don’t have him

    B) Hess - got 80 mins, won’t be trying to Mark David Fifita every week, this week plays the bulldogs. Is he against that chump Stimson? Hold for a good score this week.
Jmk- got 80 minutes, should have had a try assist and lba if Elliott didn’t screw it up. First game back from major surgery and still wasn’t subbed by the coach. Hold

    A) Every player I don't own. They are all trash and worth trading out

    B) Every play I do own. This team is going all the way to win the comp

    On a serious note

    A) Agree with Lomax, he looked like the worst player in the comp despite his fantasy score. Anyone with bulk attacking stats that are unlikely to be reproduced(Guler). Milford would concern me, I don't see him getting 5 tbs and 7 offloads every week, with Croft stealing half his kick metres his floor is going to be very low

    B) Players from games that had 20+ errors. Most teams are a bit rusty round 1 and it leads to lots of dropped ball or forward passes. Eels Dogs saw the ball in play for a total of 56 minutes and 10 seconds with 26 errors, well down on the 60+ minutes in Titans Raiders. Roosters Panthers also had 28 errors so would expect more tackles and metres from those players. TL;DR Moses, Nathan Brown, Stimson, JMK from the Eels Dogs. Friend, Yeo, JFH, Cleary, Aekins, Aubbo

Thoughts on flicking Levi/Musgrove for Flegler/Kerr and banking $150k?

Kerr's mine.... have you seen the much flashier Katoa or Guler on offer this week at a similar price point and lower BEs? Smile

Having left out DFifita should I move on Turbo to get him in (up), or just live with that mistake and do normal trades (down)?

Haha I already own Guler and am staying well clear of the Warriors players on principle.
Go on man share a bit 😜

This guy brought Kerr in last week as a calculated gamble. Didn't look like the greatest move either then or particularly now, but I am glad I already have him instead of another Aekins or Musgrove in my team. Wink

Playing E.Katoa over Stimson feels very sensible. I’ll do that.

And after my earlier rant I won’t trade Stimson for Kerr, or Flegler.

    Nope. Self control. Wiseness. Soberly-ness.

Ignore the near 400k in 18th man. And the 29 BE.

Hear the trade rage? Let it was over you and then be gone.

Trade rage is the mind-killer. It is the little death that brings total lack of injury cover in R21.

    Just chill. Chiiiiiillllll. Chill.

It's a pity Twal is now 702k because he looked awesome in round 1. He looks leaner, faster, fitter & he's going to get a lot of lb's, tb's & offloads if he keeps running like that.

DFAT just announced they are recommending all Australians currently abroad return home as soon as possible.

Not sure if that effects anyone in here.

I think their reasoning is that they're expecting a lot of other countries to start closing their borders completely and therefore Aussies will be stuck wherever they are.

Would expect it to be primarily stopping people incoming, rather than outgoing. Its more likely a change in policy to come soon in Australia, especially from a country like UK that is planning to allow it to spread.

Would expect in a couple of months time, anyone coming from UK goes into actual quarantine, not just self imposed isolation.

I already have Katoa and I was wondering if going Rudolf or JTB to Guler would be a good move or a waste of a trade? Any help would be great

Wasted trade, they are just as good as Guler and neither has players like Sutton or Bateman coming back to take minutes off them.

It's a waste as Raiders pack will likely be boosted over the next few weeks and Rudolf and JTB are set to be solid cashies

Didn't know the NRL had these sort of powers.
