Also expecting that high value rookies are going to be appearing each week at the moment, that I can trade these guys to next week.
While I dont have many guys that I am really disappointed with, probably the 2 that didnt really get the role I wanted and can free up the cash for the big gun move that I really want to do are Levi and Knight.
Here are some options I am looking at, Cleary, Hughes, Isaako, Williams. While others like Yeo, Horsey, Sami, Benji all dont have the long term job security of the reasons that they scored so well in round 1.
Cleary - Went with Moses in this toss up. As expected, without Maloney beside him, he was dominant. 68 points without needing to do anything too special. Could amazingly be a typical game for him, with possible upside at times when he has a blinder. Last weeks great score included 571 km, (28 points), 4 goals (8 points), 19 tackles (19 points), he averaged 90 running meters last season (9 points), that is 64 points per week, without having to do anything spectacular!! Also averaged 2 TBs per week last season, another 6 points!! Currently priced at 54. The guy I am looking likely to rip my team apart to get in. Hard to do though when you have Haas, Lolo, Fifita, Moses.
Hughes - At halfback, averages 22 tackles (last week 30), 60 meters gained (last week 60), the big difference last week was kicking 275m making him the primary kicker over Munster (158 km) for the first time, and 2 of those kicks were really quality try assists finding the winger on his wing. If he can keep the kicking meter average at that, it gives him 41 points just in those 3 stats each week, plus anything else he can add to it, currently priced at 40. Dual too.
Isaako - Got the great role we all expected in January and all had in our teams, before he lost form, Bird found his mojo, then got taken out for the season. His 63 last week was his best score at fullback and he was playing behind a rampant Broncos team. It included a try and try assist. In my team, WFB isnt a weakness with all 3 players scoring well last week.
Williams - Will need attacking stats to be a standout, and won't be playing Titans every week. Can wait and see, if still scoring great, can look at trading him in after a week or 2. Would imagine not many teams would have Moses, Cleary and Williams if we end up there.
So, at the moment, looking at trades of:
Levi > Cleary and Knight > Katoa
Gun up!
I like this - looking at Hess and Knight to Cleary and Katoa. Thinking I’ll give Stimson another week (although it sort of feels like Holland and Dedwards all over again where I hold them longer than everyone else and they just don’t get better!)
