I’m using him to get Fifita who I stubbornly didn’t pick.
For anyone else I think I’d probably hold

I kind of need to get Wiliame into the NPRs but using a trade on another centre after one round is nauseating. Will stick with him this week I think.

This is my trade plan at the moment. Keeping Stimson another week.

Williame is in NPRs but having to play Lomax at WFB is concerning.

Cool. With Walters playing well, who do you expect to get the starting nod? Would expect the other to be on the bench. Gets more complicated when Brooks is back, then they need to drop one of Reynolds, Walters and Grant.

Hopefully Walters and Grant dont cancel each other out

Think I wish I owned Lomax and/or Williame so trades were a bit more obvious haha

Okay, so here's where I am at, and sitting pretty comfortable with it:

I wasn't going to make any trades this week, until Mary behaved like an anal polyp and put Lomax at wing. Seriously, it's Round 2, who does that!?
If I do no trades I have to play Lomax at WFB and I am dead against a score of 17 in my 17 if I can help it.
My choice is between Hess and Stimson - which seems ironic given the draw, so I can bring in Drinkwater who will give me more depth, and really did pass the eye-test for me last week.

In the end I've decided to cut Stimson, keep Hess for this week. If Coen bombs, then I will have little hessitation shifting him on next week.

    Here's why:

    Stimson:
Looked slow and underdone last week. Got pulled after 69mins, and seems like he wasn't even meant to start until CHN... 16... ...
24 points in 69 minutes is bad, and it looked bad, but what really stinks is this:
7 runs in 69 minutes (i.e. 1 every 10mins) for 32 metres (less than 5m per run) and 7 post contact metres - that's not just poor, that's abysmal - Squaring up against Shaun Lane
Unsurprisingly a team low play of the ball speed 4.67s, so no attacking momentum there, and 30 tackles (3 missed), with 2 handling errors and almost the dopiest penalty of the whole round.
Two ready made replacements on the bench in RFM and Britt as well.
Speaking of, Britt played 39 minutes for 11 carries and 76 metres (24 post contact), 28 tackles and 1 missed. No errors, 1 pen.
If Stimson puts out that junk each week his JS surely will be poor

    Hess:
I grabbed him 3 mins before kick-off after hearing Wright was out of the 17.
Admittedly also had pretty poor game, but played 80 and should play 80 this week too.
9 runs for 92 metres against a pretty dominant Broncos outfit who turned up to play, 32 post contact metres and a fast play of the ball (3.07s), no attacking stats, but no errors or silly penalties.
30 tackles with 7 missed (almost matches Fifita's 8 tackle breaks), and I can still picture Hess missing him twice in that awesome try.
I don't think it's too unreasonable to put Hess as only missing 3 against most other teams (historically is at 2.8MT per game), which would've been 12 more fantasy points i.e. a 40 score, which is okay.
I can't see him averaging 50, but should be good for low 40's.
I think the Bronco's game also went about as bad as it could go for him, and seeing him retain his spot and Wright drop off at the first TL cull, to me is a big backing from Coach/team that they're confident in him.

So yeah, have completely talked myself into that one

Yep, would expect something like a 50/30 split. Both go hard out the whole time, good for the team, not so good for fantasy scores.

They pull 30s and we still get our 150k each. Not the end of the universe.

So.. putting out fires 1 at a time.

Su'a or Stimson out for Katoa?

It makes enough cash for Lomax to Isaako.

Swap looking to happen for round 3

"Momirovski is keen to return to the Tigers at the end of the current season and his management is holding out for a contract extension before agreeing to the swap."

    That's pretty crazy, haha.

I like him, so having him back for next season after a stint with Bellamy etc. would be good.

Worst case, we just trade him back to Storm for another asset next year Laughing

Is Stimson to Katoa and Musgrove to Watkins pushing Wiliame to EMG good trades?

With Rava back next week Lomax could move to centre for Wiliame is my concern.

    I’d then have a back 5 of

    Watkins Aubbo
    Shiba Pap Drinkwater

    Brailey Carrigan Katoa Walters
    JTB Luai Rudolf Wiliame

    Then have 75k spare.

I just wanted to touch on this point. While Stimson's timing was off, he was literally the only Bulldogs defender that chased the kick. While it takes away from the fantasy score that is something that goes in the coaches good books

With the signing of Joey Leilua, I dont know why theyd be terribly bothered about getting Momo back. Are they going to move Mbye on? Theyve got Talau coming through too. Why fuss over it.

The timing wasn't just a little off though.
    Chasing = good.
Not having any idea where the ball is and giving a dumb penalty inside the opposition 20 = bad
(I can't imagine Bellamy/Robinson patting a player on the back over that one)

I don't think the Tigpies are fussing over it, it's Momo fussing over it right? Understandable too given he's got them over a barrel if they are desperate for Grant.
