Is Aubo worth buying, or do we think he's about to lose his spot? I'm thinking of backflipping on my Croft to Teddy trade, getting Aubo in so that I'm not reliant on Wiliame and Lomax every week in my centres, and then using the spare cash to jump on Teddy in 1-2 weeks from now.

I have a bad feeling Crichton will be starting which means I will have to move Aubbo on. Hope I am wrong.

In other news on another note it’s good to see GI will make a comeback and play for Warrington Wolves just for the 2021 season.

Many think GI was medically retired but he wasn’t. He had lost his passion for the game, his body was breaking down so he forfeited his contract. To this day what money he gets in his job at Souths now still comes out of our cap.

I wish GI all the best. I would say no doubt he’s really struggling mentally not playing.

Greg Inglis to return to footy! Just to reiterate, he was NOT medically retired. His injuries weren’t considered career ending but he “could no longer perform to his own standards”
Inglis forfeited remainder of contract & off-field role was included in cap

Regarding retirement before a contract expires: doesn’t appear to be a clear rule (any lawyers feel free to correct me). But there have been multiple instances across the AFL & NRL; what appears to occur is a renegotiation of the contract to bring forward the termination date

Also another curveball re Roberts is when he comes out of rehab on Friday he could very well need to self isolate for 14 days. Coming out of rehab into another lockdown ouch when he’s already struggling not playing. What will be will be though.

I'd likely carry for 5-6 rounds and he'd be around high 600k - low 700k by then and be upgrade to final 17 2RF (Jurbo, Bateman, maybe even Fifita if he comes back strong)

Also unlikely he loses spot, replacements are MCK who's basically a supersub & Lawrence who's nearing end of his career

I'm going to take my upgrades to final 17 fairly slowly I think because most of my team still has 100-150k+ to make and hopefully conserve a fair few trades

Why are you not looking at a gun HLF (Moses, DCE if now, or Cleary if you wait 2 weeks)

Pretty sure you don't have a gun HLF right??

i dont really see the problem. inglis didn't get paid out his salary, he retired.

the fact that souths gave him a job seems dubious but if you have an issue with that then you may as well take issue with every other retired NRL player who works at a club post footy.

Dumped him for round 2, but to be fair for some reason I didn't start with Koro!! so needed to get rid of him for that swap.

But he has scored 2 tries in 2 games (as well as 1LB and 1TS) so his 53pts avg could be a touch inflated. Still money to be made though with that fast start.

He has a fair sample size of 50 plus from his starting 2RF NRL games regardless, just think there are far too many fires to stamp out for some to be considering dumping him

Retired into a cushy job as a club development officer earning over half a mil a year. The same job offer that the Tigers received a cap penalty for offering Farah
