I don’t mind helping you out with his team mateWhite Lightning wrote:Shite RnT's team has 7 players not named (D. I rate it, looks like his year to step up to the big leagues. He's gonna be the 2019 Mofo imo

Is anyone else looking to use minimal trades this week looking at the long(ish) run?
Although my forwards are looking a bit weak this week and I have to play Wiliame, I'm nearly set on just 2 trades.
Haven't brought in players like Fog/Capewell/Grant yet as from my way of thinking it gives me an extra week to assess how they go, and the players I would likely trade for them might end up making just as much cash (Rnd 3 cash cow vs first gamers)
eg Lomax making his 2019 CTR Avg of 38 vs Capewell making his 2019 avg of 37 nets me an extra 25k to use next week instead, where I would more favorably look towards using my 4 trades

I get the appeal of saving trades, but now is the time to fix the team and set yourself up. Get Grant in your team and save some trades in the coming weeks I say.

He’s got the work rate to match his dynamic running. Hopefully translates into some decent attacking outputs. That Tigers bench awfully lightweight, they got anyone else to come back?

Grant I will get next week, expecting around 60-65 minutes first up which would allow me not to play him. He will be my likely 3rd trade this week if I do trade, as my current team has Musgrove pending in 4th Res with E Katoa on the loop. If Katoa starts and gets 40+ i'll leave it, if Katoa tanks then I might get Grant now, but i'm leaning towards leaving Mus one more week if possible as he could become the best prospect out of Fog/Cape/Grant once I can see how they all pan out

Haha, will be truly fun to watch. He'll go okay though but yeah I'd be expecting a dud game every now and then. More consistent than most centres though.

There is seriously no point waiting a week to get Grant.

All valid comments.
Add;
Katoa a great BE but edge and bench hardly a match made in heaven
Magoulias and Curran not even in 17
Flegler and Hopoate are too short term with Lodge and TPJ close
Toomaga, Guler and Kerr are all benchies
And will see all in all, we’re light on for really good cheapies.
When in doubt, we wait...
The other option is to spend some cash and get Horse but feels a bit sideways (obviously the first 2 rounds paints a different picture), although the DPP is a good thing and he is looking good.
Britt is also another option. Averages over 40 if he gets 50+ minutes and maybe as starting 2RF he gets 80, something to mull over

Capewell can be infuriating but his around 40 average is great for his price and in tough CTR position

Sounds like a decent plan if you're happy to miss out on Grant's $30k odd this week.

I’m not playing him at 2RF where id expect a 50 average.
He’s playing CTR and if he averages 30+ then happy days.
His stats really don’t worry me in this position.

Just putting it out there seeing if anyone is thinking like me or if i'm the black sheep on that one, might be why I always tank :-)
Not as many fires to put out as most so the 2 trades I can save might be more valuable down the track

This is promising for Fogarty taking the reigns but at the same time its just paper talk
"He has got a resume that is obviously really impressive in the Queensland Cup where he has been outstanding for Burleigh the last couple of years," Copley said.
"It has been a noticeable change having him there. He brings a really good energy to the group and is a tremendous communicator.
"Everyone knows exactly where they have to be on every play when he is on the field and we are confident he will do a really good job for us."
