    Team for the week:

    Api
    Haas (VC), Twal
    Lolo(C), Horsburgh, LLeilua
    Moses, Mann
    Capewell, Fuimaono
    Papenhuyzen, Drinkwater, Kennedy

    Carrigan, Grant, Flegler, JTB

    Aubusson, Guler, Rudolph, Williame

    $0 in the bank.

Was going to get EKatoa and Matterson, but with Aubusson out picked up Capewell and Twal instead. Other trade ins were Flegler and Drinkwater.

I’m going knight to horse, fifita to turbo, Kennedy to grant (don’t think he’ll start and don’t have many candidates to trade out, first world problems)

I’ll get a look at Williame’s score and can ditch Walters for capewell if needed

Have 266 ITB for next week or could even do friend to 895 player this week. Is everyone off friend because of the verrills situation? Most likely scenario is 2 weeks of friend then use that cash for friend to cleary

Probably not heading that way myself, but I have to say making $100-$150K over 3 weeks is more appealing to me in a shortened season than say choosing a player that makes $200K bur takes 7 or 8 weeks to achieve it.

I do see a couple of things in Capewell's favour this season:
    1. Kikau often doesn't play 80, is more likely to be the 2RF coming off during the game
    2. As someone else mentioned, Crichton will play in the back line for any injuries, he is locked in at 2RF

Am I correct in saying that Capewell doesnt actually miss tonnes of tackles, he just has a playing style, where if 2 players have a guy wrapped up in a tackle and he is 3rd man in, he will let them go and get back in the line, getting a missed tackle?

I think that would do my head in, following a player like that.

he had a few dud games but in general I don't think he is a bad defender, a lot of his 'misses' he would come up and in and cut off the play but fall off the tackle as the other defenders wrapped up the ball carrier. its good defense in the coach's eyes but not good for fantasy.

it may be different at the panthers too, can't picture though how they defend.

Didn’t they say they were making a slight change to how missed tackles were counted? Memories a bit foggy but maybe it helps.

Fuimaono only got big mins in first 2 rounds because Rava got injured inside 10 mins in R1 and Sims suspended in R2. Can’t see many mins off bench excluding injury again

For me the timing of having someone that is fast burn, short term, is appealing. Have lots of players I dont want to touch for 2 months while they reach max value, will need 1 or 2 that I will want to trade out when opportunities arise. How many other players will likely beat their BE by 40 the next few weeks?

The only one I am aware of is if a player makes a futile tackle over the goal line trying to stop a try and the try is scored, they don't get a missed tackle if they are holding the guy (and the try scorer doesn't get the tackle bust for it).

I am going to keep an eye on Murchie this weekend. Not base price or anything but he might be a guy who plays a big role for the Warriors once he is settled in.

Thoughts on keeping or trading Josh Kerr? B/E of 9 and doesn't seem to have a great bench role. And Merrin could easily come back and take his spot

Yeah, only serviceable round 2 trade in to facilitate getting Horsburgh whilst getting rid of two duds in Ese'ese and Aekins. Happy with the 69 points and $66K in one round. Probably would be playing Williame instead but have doubts whether Kennedy will play this week, so will cover them both with a DPP on bench.

I have him, much bigger problems to deal with this week. Pleasantly surprised at the naming of the team. If they run without a hooker each week, he should keep his spot and get decent minutes. If there is truth to a huge issue at dragons this week and players getting dropped, he could have a big role for several weeks. Looked great in pre-season, waiting for him to have a breakout NRL game.

I think that would do my head in, following a player like that.

Last year at Sharks played 16 games in 2RF with a 49 a 65 and the rest 80 mins

made 4.1 MT per game, but 2 games had 12 each (66 total across 16 games), so take those games out still 3MT per game

But only 5 centres are currently averaging more than 40 ppg so a starting 2RF in that position is still relatively safe if he keeps up his 80

I was tossing up between Mann and Luai but I think Mann gets the nod. Reward for effort here and with no Ponga he will need to step up and play second fiddle to Pearce. Although Luai does have a 98 sitting there at HB*

    * Disclaimer this was a 36-4 win over the Warriors

I think Kerr will be fine but there's always the risk that Mary does something stupid. Merrin just isn't the player he once was. Korbin Sims is unlikely to play big minutes.

Kerr is ready to cement his spot in the NRL. He has shown he has a bit of skill about him (he didn't move into the forwards until u20s, used to be a winger) and the Dragons need a bit of new blood to start moving forward.

I have narrowed down my trade out list to the below (in order of urgency IMO)
    Fifita
    Musgrove
    Walters/Williams (on the same level)
Kennedy (Can change based on late mail)

My only trade in target this week is Grant, but these are others on my mind
    Twal
    Horse
    Matterson
    Fogarty
    Turbo
