Tetevano and Leota don't eat up a lot of game time. Bit of a question around how Liam Martin is used now Capewell is back, but he plays a fair bit of 2nd row, so I think he may cover Kikau.

I think I'm going to take the punt on Yeo continuing to play close to 80 in the middle and come in as a cut price keeper.

Yeah a 6 '6" quick FRF that is really strong and was able to play in the backs is a rarity. Could be anything as he develops and gets opportunities.my tv broke wrote:
I think Kerr will be fine but there's always the risk that Mary does something stupid. Merrin just isn't the player he once was. Korbin Sims is unlikely to play big minutes.
Kerr is ready to cement his spot in the NRL. He has shown he has a bit of skill about him (he didn't move into the forwards until u20s, used to be a winger) and the Dragons need a bit of new blood to start moving forward.

The only reason Capewell wasn't popular to start the year last year was because Nikora and Bateman (and Holland!) were around.
He averaged 37 as a 2nd rower, with only 1 try. If you want to go with a different centre for less than $450k who doesn't score under 20 sometimes, you can pick that player instead. I'll have Capewell thank you very much.

If Aubbs does find himself on the bench I will straight swap him for Capewell, no doubt.

Capewell and Maubbs to finish out the year would be pretty good. Both 2rf who will probably never go below 35 (Capewell career average of 39.5 playing 2RF over 70 minutes and Aubbs career average of 46 at 2RF over 70 minutes.) and available in CTR. I think I'm sold!
Capewell was brought in to fill that 2RF spot correct? Also on the cusp of QLD selection (we are short on CTR's). Capewell may have made his way into my trades this week.

A lot of ifs about this pack... Has Yeo taken JFH's big minute role from last year?

Not sure how to play the trades. Not sure if I should go for cash gen this week and final players next or grab final players this week, check the field and grab any cows next week (barring Grant this week). Capewell sounds good swap this week but.

I'm petrified he turns into a 50 point a game keeper from here on out, nice price for that. I probably should jump on but going with Twal instead.

hmmm I had Capewell for that 12 missed tackle game, he was very busy that game with lots of energy, but that didn't really translate in the stats. I won't be picking him up at this stage, but he is on my players to watch list. Another thing to consider is that Capewell is one of the few centurions in the fantasy game.

Re Turpin, few people have mentioned/asked about him, looks like Siebold intends to play him for 80 if possible.
“We’ve got that covered – Alex Glenn spent a fair bit of time at 9 over a number of years when he’s played a utility role,” said Seibold.
“And Ethan Bullemor will be on the bench and he can play edge backrow as well as middle, so it’s good having a player like him on the bench.
“So if Turps does need a spell at some stage then … we’ve got that covered, but we also believe Turps is ready to play some more minutes as well.”
Sounds like Kennedy will drop out. Bullemor is an edge forward (bit like Gillett). I don't think they'll rest Turpin unless absolutely necessary, but Bullemor could take a few mins off Hoppa. He's another young kind who's been around a few years now and considered to be a future star.
EDIT: bullemor has played a fair bit of middle too. either way probably doesnt get many mins

I'm still tossing up Twal v Yeo. Basically will decide whether I need 1 or 2 trades to get Cleary in

On Twal, I had him most of last season, he's a base stat beast if he gets the minutes. If only he had a few more attacking stats, then he would be up there with the top FRF

Stuck on a few choices... input would be great
JTB v Hopoate
- JTB will make 80k~ with an average of 30 over the next three rounds. Starting spot isn't secure, could easily lose to Blair when Tevaga is back or when Kearney inevitably reshuffles the whole team. Hasn't shown a lot of promise to be a solid starting front rower. But he is a starter at 281k
- Hopoate will likely get 80min in 2rf for the next few weeks. An average off 35-40 will net him 120-150k over the next three rounds. Once he goes back to the bench and hits a low 20s he'll be a slow burn
- Both pretty much short term cash cows
Flegler v Horse
- Flegler comes in cheaper at 476k compared to Horse at 539k. An average of 40-45 over the next three rounds will get Flegler 110-130k. When players come back, his minutes may reduce, and last year's points with 30 minutes aren't great. Although he is in good form at the moment.
- Horse comes with DPP and a very good PPM. An average of 45-50 will get him 75-100k over three weeks as he's looking good to nab a starting jersey whether at lock or prop. With Horse, he's more likely to be season keeper compared to Flegler, and looks overall better on the field - Flegler may have had his best ever game against Souths which I can't see happening on a consistent basis, or ever again really

This! I feel Yeo can be on par or just below someone like Matterson, but I also fear if I dont jump on Matterson now I'll miss his 80 point game. Doesn't seem like he will have a low scoring game either. Seems to have a pretty high floor and a high ceiling.

The only one I am aware of is if a player makes a futile tackle over the goal line trying to stop a try and the try is scored, they don't get a missed tackle if they are holding the guy (and the try scorer doesn't get the tackle bust for it).
Ahh yes that’s the one. Cheers mate

Fifita, Walters, Williams, Musgrove OUT
Grant, Horse, Capewell, Matterson IN
18K leftover?

With Aubo out have to get Capewell. Only really want to trade Fifi Stimson and Williams and had already penciled in Luai trade in. I probably should get Grant so that means holding out on Fogarty
Should I definitely be getting Lolo when I have Haas C
So many tempting prospects otherwise. Hopoate playing 80 for a few weeks. Twal at lock with that bench etc

See above re Hopo 80 minute prospects. Seems like Seibs is chucking Bulemore on the bench to cover 2RF.
