Yeah, I need someone to bring in for Williams but it does feel a week too late and his price is slightly too high (still tempting though given the other options...hopefully something in the next 20 mins)

With Watson out for 4-6 weeks, Randall has a spot in my team. He should get decent mins with McCullough there, he's proven himself. Ideally he'd get over 40 mins but a 40/40 split would be nice, hell even 30 mins is enough for Randall.

That said, I don't believe Macca should be starting, his service is very slow and he just doesn't have the running game to do well with the new rule changes, similar to Granville and Robson at the Cowboys. Macca is obviously solid in defence but it seems he's mostly there to be an old head for the young lads and to fill in while Watson's out.

Wasn't there some report about them getting towelled up by the reserves with him in the halves?

Yeah PK said the A grade team played a B grade team before the game or the day before or something and JDB was playing in the halves and schooled them.

Do you really think they would have gotten Macca there to play 40 minutes?

With the rule change, I can see it. Macca is old and slow, and he's not a good fit for the new style of play. His service is also questionable. What he does bring is defence and experience, but I don't think that means he plays massive minutes, 50-60 at the very most.

I'm guessing he'll spend some time at dummy half and some time at lock.
Macca may play 80mins but that doesn't mean Randall won't be on the bench to play 20-40min.

He may be slow but he's only 30.

Last week Macca was saying he was happy with 40-50 minutes

That's good to hear. Even Macca 50/Randall 30 would be pretty handy, 30-35PPG from Randall is enough.

Also, would it be stupid to captain Grant against the Titans?

That was probably while he was rotating with Watson, with Randall is a different story

Adam O'Brien focusses on defence (as clearly seen by last game) so he wouldn't be against playing Macca for long mins as Macca is a quality defender

Macca went to the knights for an opportunity tobplay first grade. He will take any mins he is given tbh

Not knocking macca as a person/clubman, but he's not an NRL hooker these days
